Vivian Santos I recently moved to Florida and was on the hunt for a salon. By far, going to Velvet Edge Salon after finding them on Insta was THE BEST DECISION! From the moment I walked in, the experience was AMAZING. The owner, Angela greeted me and let me know that Ash, my hairs new BFF would be with me in a moment. The service and VIP treatment received (from complimentary wine/water to hot towel on face while enjoying hair mask treatment) have made me a true follower. Be sure you will be seeing me again!

Amanda Taylor Breklyn and everyone at Hair On Central are the most amazing people! I have a pixie and when I moved to Florida I was so nervous about getting a new stylist. Breklyn made the transition so easy and made me feel confident and beautiful. Plus she’s just a wonderful person overall. I would give them more stars if I could!

Jean Sindhikara I was very disappointed with the simple blowout of my short hair. I asked the stylist to use a curling iron to my hair so that the style would hold. She insisted on using a flatiron. The styling did not last through a second day when my hair was already frizzy and shapeless!

Zephyniis Wharton First hair curly cut that I got and actually liked! Anna rose was super sweet and accommodating and a joy to talk to! My hair cut didn’t make me look like a poodle!

N Taylor Update- visit 2: We went back a few months later to have my daughters curly hair cut (not just styled as in previous review) and Celia worked her curl goddess powers to reveal an absolute beautiful end result. The curls lay so much better, my daughter loves the added volume and soft bang and this mom is just so happy to see my daughter feeling beautiful. Thank you again Celia for your talent, making us feel comfortable and the sweet staff for another all around wonderful experience! (Pictures of haircut are the outdoor shots.) My 11 year old daughter, with curls, caught eye of their “curly hair expert” letters on the window so we made an appointment. Celia transformed my daughters curly hair into a delectable work of defined art, with bouncy spring and luscious softness. Celia was so helpful with curly hair feedback, we left with more than just gorgeous hair, but with real knowledge, (a joyful mom tear), and a happy kiddo who was given confidence in maintaining it. We adore Celia and all the sweet staff there to make our visit relaxed, enjoyable and comfortable. Such a breath of fresh air, we felt truly cared for. Thank you everyone!

Angela Bruno The best salon for curly hair!! I’ve been coming to Practically Frivolous for years now and I am never disappointed! My stylist, Anna Rose is absolutely Wonderful!! I highly recommend her, she is truly knowledgeable about curly hair and always makes me feel at ease in her chair. She takes her time and makes sure that you are happy with the final result, and even teaches/gives you hair tips along the way. 100% recommend :)

Anna P. just had a haircut with Lori, super super sweet and super accommodating. Brought my little 9 month old with me and was super understanding about it! Hair looks amazing, salon is super clean, and prices are unbeatable. 100/10

Avery Dodge I have been going to Lori since I was little. Now I am in college and drive HOURS there and back just to get my hair done from Lori. She is the BEST. I usually get my hair highlighted and started about three years ago, around three or four times a year. I have not noticed any damage which was my biggest fear. I always get compliments on my hair and definitely owe it to this salon. Definitely recommend!

Amy Nguyen John is the best! He’s so meticulous with my haircuts. I’ve had a few bad experiences prior with other stylists who couldn’t get my cut just right, but John has yet to let me down. He’s a master at his craft!

Amanda Dunn Cristin has done my hair twice now. Not all stylists do vivids, let alone do them well and Cristin made my hair absolutely gorgeous! I have found my hair girl! Plus I absolutely love that this is a LGBT+ friendly space. Both times I was in Cristin’s chair for HOURS and we just chatted like we were old friends. 10/10 recommend.

A G I have lived in St Pete for 5 years and have tried many hair stylists looking for "The ONE". I found her!! Cristin is great! I have had a couple appointments and each one is better. She is incredibly talented with both color and cuts. I would definitely recommend her trying her out before she is completely full, I am sure she will be impossible to get in to before long. Thanks Cristin for making me look and feel fabulous!!

Julie C BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE. ARBITRARY PRICING. Front desk man is very rude. Used to charge me $25 for long hair haircut but charged me $40 since I spoke out to mans rudeness. I know price is $25 since another girl with long hair haircut got charged $25 at same time I was there. Shame Chau (hair stylist) works here. Think she would get more business at another establishment. Read other reviews on Yelp, similar arbitrary pricing and rude man experience.

Brittany Youmans I havent had my hair done professionally in about 7 years so I was a little nervous but everyone here was so nice and welcoming. The vibes were great as soon as I walked in. Kyra is super talented and turned my home hack job into the coolest haircut Ive ever had. I highly recommend letting her be creative and do her thing! I had such a good experience here.

Jenna Devore Klein Kyra did an amazing job on my hair. She was so sweet and fun. She took everything that I explained and made my hair feel and look so much better. Teresa (the owner) was also amazing. I had questions, and she answered with great advice for me. Overall, the ladies there seem so genuine, kind, and helpful. I finally found my forever hair salon.

LJ Murphy Jr. Ms. Consuela and her team are the best!! Shes been working great with my 10yr old daughter since she was about 3yrs old. And she doesn’t specialize in doing little kids hair but she did for me being a single father. I recommend her and her team for any woman out there trying to get their hair done. My daughter always feels great leaving her shop!

RRN02 I always look forward to my appointments at TET. Consuelo is always so welcoming and positive. She cares about you as a person and not just a paying client. I drive 45-60 minutes to get to her. Of course, there are stylists closer to my home that I’ve gone to but they just don’t exude the same attention and care as Consuelo. I recommend her at every opportunity. Margaret Blair

Katherine Burns I first went here to get my hair done for my wedding over 2 years ago. Consuelo was very patient, welcoming, and she did an amazing job on my hair and because of that and the super chill environment, Ive been going ever since. Whether its to get my hair done for photoshoots or hair care maintenance, TET is my go to! The service is always exceptional! The staff and other patrons are also welcoming. They always greet me, are respectful, and polite. I 100% recommend this salon.

Gina Najafi I just had the honor of meeting Ashleigh today, and she is absolutely amazing!!! She did a fantastic job touching up my roots with full blonde highlights, and she was very efficient and kind. Not only is she a beautiful human being, she is also caring and patient and uses healthy products. It was an enjoyable experience, and I am so looking forward to seeing her again. Regina Contini After getting sick a few years ago and experiencing hair thinning and brittleness, I got completely discouraged and did nothing but throw my hair in a bun and not go to a hair salon for a few years. I started seeing Angela at Salon Elements in August, 2024. I have been seeing her for trims and hair treatments every 8 weeks, and she has completely transformed my hair. She has worked with my damaged hair to help me grow it out without having to chop it off. She’s given me tips for healthy growth and I am seeing such improvement in growth and quality of my hair! Now, I love to wear my hair down and feel so confident. I never thought I’d be able to wear my hair down again or have grown so much back. I highly recommend this salon, and especially Angela!

Grace Maka I had such an amazing experience with Ashleigh. She listened to me and consulted me with her expertise over the years. I’ve had her do a significant color change from a warm brown to blond with dimensional highlights and then from a short pixie cut (that I started to grow out) to long extensions. She has an amazing knowledge and reps some of the best products that make me and my hair feel amazing.

Kaitlyn McDonald I had an amazing experience at Drift Salon with Bridget! She gave me the perfect curtain bangs and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. She was so sweet, took her time, and never made me feel rushed. I’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommend!

Sharayah Cooper Magic was done on my hair today, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go to Drift Blonding and Balayage. It was my first time going to a professional, Eliza was my stylist and she was amazing! After my experience with her I won’t ever do my own hair again. All the staff is great though, the vibes and environment was top notch. I’m going to recommend this salon to everyone.

Madison Williams Delaney couldnt have done a better job if she tried! i came out with exactly what I asked for & more. she even had to take extra time to wash & dry my hair before highlighting since I stupidly got in the ocean the day prior & had salt water in my hair. The extra time & precautions she took implicated to me just how much she cares about her clients & the integrity of their hair. 20/10 recommend this salon & Delaney to anyone considering a new stylist or style!

Matt Bowman Great salon my wife always gets here hair done when we are in town. We drive from Ocala because its the only place she trusts. My son and I get our hair cut at The next level barbers,5 star shop as well. While shes in Boho getting her hair done. Great staff all around.

Anne Tipton Ive been a client since 2022 and Im always happy with my cut & color from Chrissy. Her salon has such a good vibe thanks to her & the rest of the awesome staff. I recently decided to make a big change & go short. Chrissy was amazing at finding a cut that works for me and looks fantastic! She works magic with cut & color. To say that I love it is an understatement. So happy!

Breehan and Stephen Lloyd Ashlee is an incredibly gifted stylist. She has an amazing intuition with haircuts and color/highlights. While traveling Ive worked with other stylists and Ive found none that compare to her skills. She is the absolute best! She is also so funny and easy to be around. She was great with my kids too. The Hive salon has a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I look forward to my next appointment!

Jennifer Rubiello Laura and the team at Hive are incredibly talented! She always listens closely to what I’m looking for, whether it’s an updo, new hairstyle or a trim. She also taught me how to finally manage my wavy/curly hair in the Florida heat. Couldn’t recommend the salon more!
