Jeremy Parker I just had the most delightful experience getting my haircut ever. Donna is an expert at cutting mens hair and I have found my barber shop until they close down or my hair falls out. I could not recommend this place more!

Barley Hilpert Donna did a wonderful job revitalizing my hair. Dont be steered away because of the older clientele, they work on all hair styles and most types! I am a college student and they fit right in my budget which is of course another perk of this salon.

Daisja Penny I recently got starter locs In January and my experience was phenomenal , When I came in originally, I was scared and it wasn’t because of anything on their part it was just the anxiety about getting starter locs. The person that did my hair was De Amber And I enjoyed it 100%. I got a wash dry starter locks and oiling of the scalp for 175$. I love my locks and can already see the new growth showing. I rescheduled my starter loc retwist appointment because I am excited to continue my loc journey with hair in peace Tallahassee.

Joan Noel This salon is a great addition for Tallahassee. The salon has a beautiful ambiance, everyone is very professional. I love that they listen to my needs when it comes to my loc concerns, and collaborate with me on styles which is tough since I have short and thin low density locs. Ive seen plenty of hair salons come and go in Tallahassee. I hope this this salon will be here indefinitely.

Amanda Hunter I visited Hair In Peace for the first time today and I had an amazing experience! I chose Hair In Peace because I spoke with the owner, De’Amber, yesterday afternoon and she was extremely polite and helpful. She has the best personality! Today, I had a rod set by Mariah, who is also very talented and friendly. If you are looking for a salon with a positive and relaxing environment, where you will be treated like a star and leave feeling fabulous, please go to Hair In Peace. You don’t be disappointed!

Laura Payne So happy with my lashes! I’ve never gotten them done before, and Grace helped me pick a style. She was very fast (only 1 hour for a full set!) and sweet!

Lesa Wrinkle I made an appointment and attached a picture of what I wanted. I was extremely impressed when they called and said this was above my stylist ability, and they referred me to another salon that could do it. Now that is what you call honest. They could have taken my money and given me a maby cut... maybe what I wanted... but maybe not. They could have just canceled the appointment. Instead, they called and spoke to me and apologized and provided a referral. I am extremely impressed. I got my hair cut and love it and appreciate the solid gold integrity they have over at BB. When summer gets close, I am going to go in there and let them practice on this super fast growing mop I call hair. Thank you, ladies. You may not have cut it, but you made sure it got cut. I appreciate you more than words can explain.

cindy sohacki Aysia did our makeup for my daughter’s wedding and was absolutely wonderful! Each one of us were delighted when she held up the mirror and we saw the finished results. As I sat in her chair, she asked what look I was going for. I jokingly asked for the 30 years younger look. While no one is that much of a magician, she made me feel 30 years younger and I felt truly amazing! She was great to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Melissa Luetgers I’ve been coming to Candice for two years now, and I can’t recommend her enough! She done everything to my hair (blonde, red, black, brown, bangs, highlights). Every visit is a great experience—she listens to what I want while also offering her expert advice. My hair always turns out better than I imagined, and I love how healthy it feels after each appointment. On top of her amazing skills, she creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a stylist who is talented, professional, and genuinely cares about her clients, Candice is the one!

Alex I hate to write this review because I’ve been to this salon multiple times and have never had any problems. I went in yesterday for a trim with Thang (Tina) and made it clear I did not want layers. My hair looked nice when I left but when I got home and brush it out I realized that I was given choppy layers and had inches of hair missing throughout my head. One side of my head was also noticeably less dense because of the layers she had given me. I called the store yesterday to see if she was available for me to come back and talk about getting it fixed/a refund and they didn’t answer. I received a call back today from Thang and when I told her I had to get an emergency haircut from somewhere else she was completely uninterested in discussing my hair and told me that she did give me layers (even when I had told her not to). I understand that there’s nothing she can do to fix my hair as I got an emergency haircut, but she had no interest in the photos I took of the haircut she gave me and told me that there was nothing she could do as she was insulted that I would complain about her work, and then hung up on me. I love the stylists that I’ve seen before but I wont be back because of the complete disregard Thang had.

k b I’ve been going to Candice for over 10 years now. She’s always very patient with my particular requests about layers and thinning while at the same time respecting that I want to “keep it long” without excessive thinning. She did my hair (updo) for my wedding and I’ve even had coloring done by her in the past. She absolutely delivers each time and my hair always feels healthier and refreshed after I leave her chair 100% of the time. I’d follow her anywhere to make sure she is the only person to cut my hair for the next 10 years

Katherine Powell I got my hair done for prom in an updo ($50), and, later, cut and styled ($30). Jennifer is a good stylist and gave me exactly what I wanted, and also remembered me from the first time I visited. Everyone loved the hair styles and I got many compliments.

Andrea Stolz Hairworks offers a great cut at a good price, unlike other salons in Tallahassee. Their stylists have longevity at the salon and years of experience. Jennifer was very personable, professional and my haircut looks great.

Tara Willette The worst haircut I’ve ever received. 6 months later it still looks horrible! The owner, Liz Tabor promised to mail back the 80 dollars I paid for a haircut that is horrendous. To this day have received nothing and she avoids my calls. Steer clear of this place! Horrible!!

Eva Alpert This place is very nice however they do not specialize in ethnic hair. They give a good wash and conditioning treatment but are not experts when it comes to straightening hair. I would not recommend this place to someone who wants to transform their curly locs to a straight look. If you have straight to wavy hair Bella Design will suit your needs.

Angela Hopkins The first time i had Crochet hair installed, it was beautiful and no problem. I went for my 2nd installment almost 3 months later (last week) I was so excited, but as Annie Fisher was doing my hair my head began to hurt. I assumed, it would loosen up but No! A week later, I’m sitting in someone else chair to get this out my head! It hurts bad, I’m not sure if gorilla glue or sprint was used but I do know it hurt ! I don’t mind paying for good service and giving a tip. Just do my head as you would want someone else to do yours! It was pretty! But nothing is worth this head pain. #DangDangDang!

Justin & Bridget Ryan This lady had advertising on her for this business so she’s representing herself and the business. She demonstrated how poorly she cares for others. I was in our family van when she completely cut me off near Tallahassee Airport. Driving way too fast while passing me on the left pushing me to go into the right shoulder when the lanes were merging on to have to slow down to turn left stuck in traffic. I passed her so I clearly was not an obstacle for her. This alone would steer me way clear of recommending this business. I’m sure I won’t get an apology. I’ll erase this comment if I do.

Hannah Asher I’m 6 weeks postpartum and haven’t been able to make much time for myself. I finally was able to book with Priscilla and could not be any happier with the outcome. I can’t explain how amazing she made me feel. Priscilla is truly a master at what she does. Her skill, precision and attention to detail make her the best of the best. The way that I feel today is a reminder that we must make time for ourselves, it’s truly necessary. I can’t thank this talented lady enough for bringing that spark back in my life and making my hair dreams come true! :)

Beren Crim Sabuncu I have thick, long, and fluffy hair that I have been too nervous to shape for the past ten years. After a lot of research, I booked a consultation and cut with Priscilla. She is an amazing artist, but beyond that, she is an incredibly patient and graceful person. I had many, many questions about the type of cut that would suit my face and hair type, about the proper type of products to use, even how to dry my hair properly! I have always loved my hair and have been extremely precious about it, but I now feel like my look is elevated because of how incredibly talented she is. Also, she did not shorten my hair too much (which was incredibly important to me), kept it longer in the back and only took off dead hair. I can rave on. There were multiple things that set her apart as an hair artist: - She uses vegan and cruelty products that she tests for a while before carrying at her salon, -She is incredibly inclusive, and works with all types of hair and other needs (like religious practices). She has a private space and works with people wearing hijabs, niqabs, and so forth. -She is very honest about her boundaries, she will refer you out if you are asking for a service she does not specialize in. -She takes pride in her work and will not provide services that might irreversibly damage your hair. This is NOT a paid comment, I am just insanely happy with my results and think that she is the bees knees. She recently opened her CillaRey salon, but has over a decade of experience (check out Reddit and other comments at her previous salons- I did). You will not regret it, Cilla Rey all the way!

Bianca Demoura If you haven’t gotten a hair cut from Priscilla what are you doing? Went to FSU and booked Priscilla to do my hair for grad and now a year later I travel from WPB to Tally just for her haircuts. Priscilla is the most attentive, kind, and overall just the most amazing person and hairstylist. She is hands on and explains what will or won’t work for your specific hair type and is always checking in to make sure the haircut is what you truly want. I leave her studio and get at least 10+ compliments on my hair. She is the best in Tallahassee and honestly West Palm Beach because I haven’t found one person who can top her skills.

Myra Smith All About Hair is a super "down to earth" and comfortable salon. Ms Lolita is very kind, and considerate of my time. She gives great hair care tips, and does an amazing job with my cut and color. I am always pleased when I leave the salon!

Ladasiah Jackson I have gone to Lolita for my hair since 2001. She is a great friend and an excellent hairstylist. She has nurtured my hair from relaxer to natural and her advice is invaluable. She knows about the chemicals in hair products and based on your hair texture what product is best for your hair. We have had deep discussions about hair and the evolution of hair products over the years. If you want a real hairstylist who believes in nourishing and caring for your hair, get Lolita!!!! She is the best hairstylist in Tallahassee... period.

Axle Was super nervous when booking because I dont normally trust barbers but I absolutely love high key studios. Kellsey did a incredibly amazing job and now I can say I wont be going to anywhere else will definitely be back for all my hair needs gpong forward! I absolutely love the haircut they gave me and its definitely worth the money if I could give a 10 star review Kellsey would definitely be my number one go to!

Amanda Barineau I was lucky enough to find McKenzie Trim several years ago and wouldn’t go anywhere else. McKenzie always listens to my concerns and gives honest feedback when it comes to my hair. I get compliments on my color all the time. My favorite part of getting my hair done is McKenzie is so easy going and makes my appointment feel more like I am hanging out with a friend. Definitely recommend giving her a call if you’re looking for someone new.

Bri Holbach If youre debating going to see Kelsey, DO IT! She is sweet, knowledgeable, and cares so much about her clients. I went in for the first time recently for a low maintenance balayage and hair cut. While talking, I mentioned needing hair and makeup for my elopement reception and Kelsey managed to fit me in to her very busy schedule, helping me tremendously. The day of my reception I was a frazzled mess but when I arrived at High Key Studios, Kelsey curated the calming vibe I needed -- she even had a little bottle of prosecco and a charcuterie board waiting for me! Kelsey obviously cares so much about her craft and I am so glad to have gotten a chance to know her!

Emily Brewton These ladies do incredible work. Love my hair! Ms. Mary is so sweet and does a fantastic job. And my mother went to Ms. Fran for years! We always look great when we leave this place. 10 out of 5 stars!

Ellie Kline I got my hair dyed here a couple months ago by “brittany.” wow. let me tell you, brittany is very unprofessional. she colored my hair and I thought it came out alright, but as I got home I noticed chunks of my hair not dyed. she also asked me for a date for the next appointment, I said yes to her suggested date but i’ll double check to confirm because I have finals & I need my hair done for a special occasion, and she never got back to me and filled my spot saying I had gotten back too late. she should have reached out to me given she never followed me back, she rarely answered my dms. she then proceeded to post all her available days that I could have done before this special occasion and still never messaged me. quite inconsiderate. was sweet in person though, but not a professional stylist at all whatsoever.

Liza June i went to Beca for a color correction after having a pretty bad dye job done on me by a different salon. It was quite a challenge to fix and Beca did an amazing job. She really listens to what the client wants, gives a step by step plan so that you are never left suprised and is a really talented colorist!! 10/10 recommend!!

Fan Fsu (FsuGirl27) I absolutely love going here. The environment is so relaxing and inviting. Lauren Wilhelm always does my hair. She does such an amazing job with both the cut and blonde color. She takes her time and is very attentive. She is super sweet and easy to talk to as well. So down to earth. I dont trust anyone else to do my hair. She is so professional and experienced at what she does. I would recommend this place and Lauren to anyone. Definitely worth 10 stars but they only allow you to give 5.

Emily Massau Shelby did a phenomenal job on my nails. I have been looking for a nail artist that takes care and is passionate about what they do, and that is Shelby! She removed my acrylics carefully and took her time. I never felt rushed and she made sure to save the integrity of my natural nail above all else. Happy to say I found a great nail tech (with great pricing), and a new friend :) The business itself is well-decorated and includes a couple more private rooms for salon services. Cant wait to have my hair done there.

Tamea Brown Perry, PMP He listened to how I wanted my hair cut. He gave me a curly cut without me having to lose my length. During the washing process, he talked about about my hair porosity and what products and ingredients work best for my hair type. I have an overall great experience. 10/10 would recommend to friends.

Beca Pape He did a great job! My first curly cut ever. I came to him with some damage and expected to loose a lot of length, but he saved it! My friends were astounded! Super impressed with his work. Will definitely be coming back!

Sarah Berner This place is clean, bright, and welcoming. Jordan gives an amazing haircut and Brandi is great for manicures. I like that they sanitize all of their manicure tools before reuse, and they dont reuse anything that cant be sanitized. They also offer "5 free" Zoya nail products.

Sherry Rowe Beautiful inviting enterance with sitting and beverages available. A welcoming receptionist is available for additional scheduling needs. My hair stylist was promptly on time, pleasant, and really took time to cut and style my hair. I never felt rushed. I will continue to visit this salon.
