Caress Thomas Came in at 12:30 for a basic pedicure and didn’t leave until 3:15. This was one of the worst experiences ever especially on a time crunch. I’ve came here several times and there’s always an issue. Hanna and her husband are nice but the quality has declined. If you do decide to try them out please ask for Hannah. Amy was kind but her skills were not satisfactory of this establishment.

T J Look at my photos. This placed ruined my nails. The shape, the cut, the paint job literally looks like my child did it. I’ve never seen this before from anywhere I’ve ever been. Disappointing and a waste of my money is an understatement. Don’t know the woman’s name who did my nails but she really shouldn’t be doing them. I’ll never come back.

Yadira Cardenas Update: This place has made a change for the worse. The last few visits have been not so good. First, no one knew how to do a dip (even though they advertise they do). Second visit, had to remind my tech that I wanted a manicure after she was about to skip the step. And this last time nails were left a mess. They went to light on the dip on a few nails, making them almost transparent. If I notice this, the tech should definitely notice this. And I had to pick dip and polish off my fingers. I used to love this place. I don’t know that I’ll go back again. I’m a pretty forgiving person, I tried several times before deciding to post this updated review. I miss the old crew of nail techs that dressed and worked to satisfy the customer.

Pam Wilson They are very polite. However, they basically all speak Spanish, I understand some Spanish and could understand some of what they were saying. However, I went to relax and get my nails done not have to translate because they did not speak English. I felt for the price this is not acceptable. By the very next day my finger nails where chipping. Had to remove their polish and polish my own nails. Not really happy nails. My polish has been on for almost two days and not a chip. Will not be returning to this salon.

Jessica Moore Monika is the absolute best in all Sarasota and Manatee county! I urge you if you have tried any other salon and are unhappy to come to Colorvast. I have tried many salons in town and this is the best place in town. My nails look natural and so thin. Beautiful craftsmanship. Monika takes pride in her work and my nails have never looked better! Her nail salon is top notch clean and beautifully done. True European style. I’m so in love with my nails and my husband absolutely loved them. I’m so grateful to have found the nail tech I have been searching for. I highly recommend! I give this salon 5+ stars.

The professionalism, kindness, quality, expertise, skill, artistry, and all around experience was one that is impossible to find, but I got to experience today! Maria Pereira Never had a dry pedicure (no water soaking) and wanted to experience it. It was amazing. Veronica took her time being very detailed in doing the cuticles, nail beds and soles. The atmosphere of the salon instills tranquility promoting a very relaxing mood. Highly recommend. You’ll receive the service for what you pay for. Thank you!

moon Hell yea, bootleg version of what I asked for.. still paid and tipped well... (request simple stuff here) my gel nails started peeling after only 3 days. I got a pedicure too (French Tips) and that started chipping within a week and color started changing.... very cheap products. Technicians urge for dip even though I said 50times I dislike. Ive tried it with them twice before, each time its super thick and clumpy with jagged sides, just not. I ask for something simple and they still couldnt preform. When trimming my cuticles, the lady rushed and kept looking away while timing as if she was bored. I had to fix that at home, a lot missed, and many edges of nails not colored. Very sloppy So ppl there are sweet but some dont care about their work and kinda antisocial and off putting. $40 of poorly cheap nails and 40 for cheap fr echo tips. My feet werent even scrubbed

Clare Godleski I have used Best Nails for the past year or so. While it is not a fancy place, the service is good. I usually get the Spa Pedicure which costs a little more but it includes a longer leg massage which I really like. They have massage chairs that work well. They appear to be conscientious in their cleanliness and sanitizing which is important to me. My nails and pedicures always come out well and I have been pleased. Prices seem fair and normal for this area. Update: As of November 2023, I have changed nail salons only because of the bad attitude I have gotten from the nail technician at Best Nails. I have since gone to Coco nails and have had very good experiences there. thus far.

Lisbeth Garecht Update: Ive been going to Valentines Nails for several years now and they are still doing a fantastic job! Original post: Most amazing color selection ever! However, I was popping off an acrylic nail every two weeks. She kept telling me they were old and I needed new ones. I switched to Valentine Nails and havent had one pop off in 4 months! Acrylic nails dont pop off because they are old. They pop off because the application technique is not good.

Chelsea Tuggle I went to Paint Nail Bar South Sarasota for the first time and was extremely pleased from start to finish!! The girl at the front desk and the owner were very welcoming and friendly, helping me choose a color and making sure I was comfortable (which included a delicious mimosa) throughout my visit. The salon is very clean, with a calm, relaxing atmosphere, and I loved that it didn’t smell like a typical nail salon due to the clean nail products they use! I got a gel manicure with Jailin and definitely plan to go back to her! She was very meticulous with the manicure and polish, ensuring that my nails looked as perfect as could be and that I liked them throughout the process. She was so sweet! I showed up with broken, damaged nails and she made them look so pretty again! I’ll definitely be back!

Eni Wanat If you live in the Sarasota area you’re in luck because this nail salon is absolutely amazing!! You won’t find a cleaner salon! All the instruments are properly disinfected and don’t take that for granted. The majority of salons DONT disinfect…gross. The nail techs are very talented and accommodating. I love getting my nails done here

Beverly Gruensfelder I have been going to Paint Bar South for the past 3 years. I love this place. The staff, the services, but most importantly, the cleanliness is just impeccable. Im very pleased how the encourage their staff to expand their skills by taking additional courses. I highly encourage you to try them.

Thao Ha I got my nails done here back on July 31st, it is now August 30th. It is acrylic base with gel top. These nails have not chipped or budged since. I’m an office worker so am very hard on my nails with keyboards and just everyday life adventures. Never have I had nails like this last for a month. If it were up to them, they would plan to stay even longer. Amazing service and quality! New review as of 12/27: I got my nails done again by Lily back on 11/30 (red set) and my nails stayed on until 12/27. By then they were too long so I got them removed, however they could’ve stayed on for another week. These nails last me yet again a month. Lily is the best!

JB In town visiting friends. Back home it’s so cold. But it’s so warm and sunny here in Sarasota. So, I had to get my feet right. Lily and her team were very welcoming. They made me feel right at home. I am very pleased with the service I received. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

The owner greeted me at the door and she and her entire staff were incredibly kind the entire time. My feet had been neglected for a while and they feel lovely now. Highly recommend!

Truth Seeker I have been going to the salon for years, but the last few times I went the experience has not been a good one. I am a disabled senior and have mobility issues. I cannot take the toe dividers off myself, and I have told them that on several occasions that I need help in removing them. I tried to remove it the last time myself, because everyone was busy and there was no one around to ask for assistance. I unfortunately messed up The polish on my big toe. I asked for it to be corrected. The person that tried to correct it, did a horrible job TWICE. See picture taken after the second attempt to redo my big toe. Before I left, I tried discussing the issue with the owner and all she did was argue with me. I then called her to see when I could come back and get it fixed and again, all she did was argue and not even let me speak. I will never come back to this salon again. I always tipped very generously and I don’t appreciate the managers, rude, and belittling behavior toward me.

Dani Bollettieri I have been going to Les Cisseaux since I was in my 20s and I have always loved it. I recently moved back to Sarasota and I have had 2 appointments with Elizabeth. She is beyond fabulous. I have complicated hair! Lots of curly hair and I love it a specific color blond and more around my face since I put it up a lot. She does it perfectly! Color is phenomenal and when she blows it straight I love it!!! Plus she’s such a sweet person. Absolutely recommend!

Becca S Do not go here!!! Find a different salon if you care about your hair at all!! I came in for a simple root retouch and they FRIED OFF MY HAIR!! Please read this review before you book with them! My first appointment I asked to be put with a blonde specialist and they booked me with Elizabeth for a bleach root retouch. She gave me a massive orange band and when I pointed it out to her she told me it wasn’t there and when I asked multiple times for her to please fix it she covered it with a high lift hair dye. I told her that high lift hair dye doesn’t work on hair that’s already been bleached but she told me that this one did and unfortunately I decided to trust her. When she was done I was still left with the same massive orange band and my roots felt very dry but at that point I had already been there for hours and she was very rude so I just left and called the salon the next day. The first picture is of my hair in the car right after leaving my appointment with Elizabeth. When I called the next day I asked for a refund but they refused to give it to me and instead said I should come in and have it fixed by a different stylist. They put me with a supposedly very experienced stylist named Dawn. I told her that I was concerned with the integrity of my hair after the botched bleach job and high lift color Elizabeth had already done but Dawn told me that there would be no breakage and that she was careful. When Dawn was done with my hair she blow dried it straight and told me that there was no breakage and I even gave her a tip for fixing it but when I washed my hair a few days later I had short broken clumps of fried hair sticking right out of my part. It looks terrible and my hair is so thin and broken now I have to straighten the broken pieces down every day just to make it not look crazy. When I first saw how much of my hair had fried off I was so sad that I cried, and it’s so damaged that more and more breaks off every day. The second picture is what Dawn did to my hair and that’s just the pieces that broke off of my part, there is much more breakage underneath my hair. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else, they did irreversible damage to my hair that will take years to recover from so I posted my experience on yelp and google reviews to try to warn other women. Within 20 minutes of the post being up the salon called me and said they would refund my money, but only if I deleted my bad reviews. Since I was backed into a corner, I agreed so I could at least get my money back. But what they did is super unethical and actually illegal too. The fact that they would only refund my money if I took down my original review is honestly disgusting and this salon should be ashamed of themselves. I attached pictures of the federal law about bribing customers to delete their reviews, I’m assuming that they’ve done this to a lot of women because this is by far the worst salon experience I have ever had in my life and I hope this place gets shut down soon. If you’re reading this I hope you decide to go somewhere else so you don’t get taken advantage of and end up with fried off hair the way I did.

Susan Ryan In all my 15 years as Concierge at Lido Beach Resort, they are the most exquisite spa & salon in Sarasota. Ann gave me the best haircut of my life last Wednesday. Shes perfect. She is my my dream hair guru. I love this place ❤❤❤

She is very knowledgeable when it comes to medical issues and will go above and beyond to meet your needs. The atmosphere is private, quiet, intimate and relaxing. Her talent with Pedi massages and nail designs is unmatched. You will never have such a fulfilling and dedicated artist.

Raven Nicole The best nail tech I’ve had in years. Star is amazing, from her work, to her personality. The energy and atmosphere is amazing. It’s always laughs and good times in the shop every time I’m there! She uses 100% American made products, and even mixes up the colors to give them her own little flare. Even makes her own colors! I’d recommend her to absolutely anyone!

Jamie Go see Ciara at Star Struck Nails. She does the best work, has the most up to date designs, and has many options for you to choose from. Lets not forget to mention she is a full service nail tech, pedicures, and all.

Jeanna Helmuth This was my second visit to Nailology and I’ve been so happy both times. Paul is so accommodating with scheduling and both he and Venus are patient and kind when it comes to picking colors, designs, nail shape etc. I never feel like I’m inconveniencing either of them. I saw Venus this time and LOVE the “cat eye” nail design that I got. The last time I was in I got a gel pedicure with Paul that is still looking beautiful a month later. I’ll be back!!

Cindy Riedmiller Love Cali Day Spa! Ken and Kelly are awesome. The service is always good and enjoyable. I have been in a lot of other nail salons and Cali is my favorite. Honestly I only go there now because they do the best job and I am happy and satisfied with their work and they are less expensive than other salons so I can tip them better. I highly recommend Cali.

Sara Lisas salon is quaint and super relaxing! You receive one on one attention here. Which is nice. A single, comfortable massage chair. Lisa takes pride in her craft. I came in with a gift certificate from my Mom for a Deluxe Pedicure. Lisa is comfortable to be around and easy to talk to. This has been the best Pedicure Ive ever had! I dont get pedicures often and was a little apprehensive. Lisa was welcoming, professional and shes great at what she does! Go see Lisa! Shell be my first stop next time Im in town.

Bethany Had a lovely experience at Stunning Nails! Lisa is patient, skilled, and kind. Shes got a nice set up and is very flexible with scheduling. I absolutely recommend coming by! I appreciated that I could schedule an appointment over text, since its hard to find time to make calls during my workday. There is another nail shop in the center. Shes in a suite next to a vets office, past the sign that says "Stunning Nails".

Megan Turner This was the worst “manicure” I’ve ever had, they didn’t soak off my old gel polish but buffed it off with the machine for shaping acrylic. They didn’t dry the coats of gel properly because my black nails all started peeling within 2 hours of the service, they rushed my daughter’s blue nails so much that there was paint all over her fingers, the lady was annoyed when I asked her to remove the excess polish. The gentleman who did my nails put lotion on one hand, massaged it for maybe 30 seconds and the didn’t even massage the second one at all and just said he was done. They said they would fix the nails if we went back but it’s not even worth it, I will just be going back to a different salon. The demeanor of the staff was just bothered and annoyed in general, they were not friendly at all. Terrible customer service.

Rose Mac Of all the nail salons I’ve tried in downtown Sarasota, Lotus clearly offers the best quality service and the best prices. The staff are friendly and helpful and the recently remodeled salon is bright and airy. Its location nextdoor to Publix in the Broadway Promenade Shopping Center is also extremely convenient.

natasha barrera I went to remove gel x nails and rather than soak and scrape the gel off, the used an electric buffer and buffed all the way down to the pinks of my nail! Ouch! They are tender to the touch and my nails are so frail today. The lady wanted me to get gel polish to protect them because my nails are so thin. :( I would have paid for the gel mani even without the “need” to protect them. My nails are very thick and strong normally and I’m sad I need to let them grow all the way out before I do anything to them again. My normal nail tech was unavailable this time. I have been here before for a fresh gel manicure in the past and the experience was fine.
