Upon my release, I first tried to handle the matter through the Public Defenders Office. Weeks went by with no sort of contact and it did not appear as though the Public Defender had my best interests in mind. Was charged an insane amount of money ($10,000 on top of the $7500 retainer fee) for my attorney, Kevin Jerucko, to become familiar with my case. Then, I was charged more money when I had to meet with him in person to familiarize him with the case! It was shocking and disheartening to find out he didn’t even know basic facts about the current order, my ex, or ongoing litigation. I highly recommend you save your money and hire a different law firm. Sometimes spending double the money does not equate to better representation.
