1 /5 Jen Tyler: Moved my 401k to an IRA with Edward Jones office when I changed jobs. Wanted help managing the money, which I do not have experience doing. My old job had a firm that helped me manage the 401k and I did really well with them. A couple years later and I have barely heard from anyone at Edward Jones, other than to send me their newsletters. I finally called them and had them sell one of the terrible funds they had me in and bought some Google and Amazon stock. Even with all the loss, they never called me or checked to see if they could help me minimize the loss. Very sad & disappointing. About the only gain Ive had has been the stock I told them to buy.
I recently moved the IRA to Morgan Stanley, along with other money i didnt have with E Jones. The svc has been GREAT and they have been meeting with me and calling me regularly to help me select a better path toward financial security. Much better experience, much better service. Im already starting to make money with their help.
Would not recommend Edward Jones at all.
