1 /5 Michael Rodriguez: This may be my first ever negative review and its a hard one to write. My family has been going to Fenrich for about 20 years. They do good custom work for a reasonable price. Things have always been good until our last experience. My wife had a custom piece done and after receiving it she went back to the jeweler to see if he could make some changes. She liked the piece as is, but wanted a little tweak. Without saying anything, the jeweler took the custom setting off our piece, cut her a refund check and told her to find a new jeweler stating "He doesnt do this". She left confused and called me.
I stopped in to talk to the jeweler and explain that my wife liked the work he originally did and if the modification requested wasnt possible all he had to do was tell her. She would have understood and walked away happy. He didnt want to hear it, saying he would lose money to redo it, etc. I told him that we were prepared to pay him for any changes performed but he didnt want to listen. He told me to find another jeweler and thats it.
My hopes are that this Mr. Fenrich reads this and understands that not only did he lose a longstanding customer, he was rude in the process and hurt someones feelings. I dont care how good your work and prices are, it doesnt give you the right to treat someone like that.
