1 /5 Deborah Driscoll: This agency has terrible customer service, I would never recommend them to anyone. They failed to give me the coverage I asked for and needed for work and I only found that out when I called State Farm insurance. This unprofessional company (Bates) failed to contact me when my credit card payment for renewal of my policy did not go through. (We got hacked in Canada 3xs) and we were waiting for our new card to arrive. The Bates agent (son) said that State Farm did not cover me did they and I came to Bates. BIG Mistake on my part..They also said they only contact clients by email and I provided an email address. I reminded him (son) that I also provided a phone number and I said I preferred to be contacted by cell. No one at this poorly run agency asked if I used that email, they just said I had to provide an email so I did. My family checked the email and there were no emails from anyone at Bates. Then he said only Progressive would email and they would not contact us. He said it was on me if I did not use my email since I provided one. I said you REQUIRED an email address. I also provided a phone number and he said they do not call or send emails only progressive does that. Very juvenile, defensive, uneducated and unprofessional. Go elsewhere with nice people who take responsibility for their lack of customer service.
