1 /5 Gilberto Dominguez: I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at OneMain Financial. I was a previous customer who had a loan with them that I paid off in full and on time. Naturally, I expected to be treated fairly when I returned—especially since my income and employment status haven’t changed at all. But instead, I was denied for a new loan without any clear explanation.
The loan officer, Adres (or Adre), was vague and unhelpful throughout the process. Communication was inconsistent, and I never received a real answer as to why I wasn’t approved—even though I’ve proven myself as a reliable borrower in the past. I felt like my time and loyalty meant nothing.
What’s even more frustrating is that OneMain promotes a program called “Satisfaction Way,” which feels like false advertising after this experience. There was nothing satisfying about being ignored, misinformed, and ultimately denied for no apparent reason.
I won’t be returning to OneMain, and I would caution others—especially previous customers—not to expect loyalty or transparency in return. Disappointing doesn’t even begin to cover it.
