1 /5 Frank Sessa: Insured our home with Open House last year. Received a notice of non-renewal stating we need a new roof and hot water heater. The hot water heater is old, so that’s understandable. I don’t have an issue with that. However, the roof is 11 years old, so I called and the rep I spoke to said that repairs were done to your roof so that’s why you need a new roof. We had an old solar panel that was connected to the hot water heater removed. The job was perfectly executed and that area was re-shingled. So, i asked if I could have someone inspect the roof? The rep said yes and maybe they would reconsider but there’s no guarantees. No help from the rep whatsoever. These people take your money with ease, but if you need help, suggestions, etc. you get nothing. Open House seemed like a great company. Wrong. Don’t be fooled by the savings.
