1 /5 Richard Hudson: Im surprised that this firm has managed to maintain a 5 star review rating on Google. I completed an online inquiry while researching wealth advisory firms in the Orlando area. I received a call back about 2 weeks later. By that time, I had already spoken at length to 3 other advisory firms. I spoke to Brad and explained where we were in the process--that we had gathered all of our financial documents, already had a detailed financial plan, and were prepared to make a decision on a firm to retain in the next 2 weeks. Brad suggested that I upload our financial documents to a file share portal and they would set up a meeting to come into their office to meet with one of the owners to discuss our situation. I obliged and we set up a meeting for about 2 weeks out. This caused me to delay my final selection process as I was already down to two other finalists. But I wanted to give Oxford a chance since they are a local company. I showed up to my scheduled meeting today 5/28, and it was clear that the owner was treating it as a "cold start" meeting as if I had just walked in off the street. They had no background information on me, despite me having sent a detailed balance sheet and financial account information. I would expect a professional fianncial advisory firm to be better prepared and more respectful of a prospective clients time. While our level of assets shouldnt matter in expecting this basic level of respect, I should also note that we are an high net worth client, so this is a major missed opportunity for Oxford. I hope they do better with other clients.
