I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service I received at the Planet Fitness on August 29 at approximately 8:30 PM. I arrived at the facility, accompanied by my daughter, intending to utilize my Planet Fitness membership. Upon arrival, I was informed by the general manager, Noel, that I would be denied access because my membership was initially registered at another location.
Despite my efforts to resolve this issue by contacting the original location to request a membership transfer, I was informed that the transfer could not be completed over the phone. I requested a day pass or any reasonable accommodation to allow me to work out, but Noel refused to provide any solution. His demeanor throughout the interaction was indifferent, and he showed no interest in addressing my concerns as a customer. As a long-standing member of Planet Fitness for at least three years, I am deeply dissatisfied with this experience, especially as I had intended for this location to become my primary gym following my recent move to the area.
Due to the unacceptable level of customer service I received, I have decided to cancel my membership with Planet Fitness. I believe that the treatment I experienced reflects poorly on the values and standards of Planet Fitness, and I cannot, in good conscience, continue to support a business that does not prioritize customer satisfaction.
