We received the quote; it looked good other than a couple of minor changes. I called in to talk to Brad (the one who gave the quote), the lady that answered the phone said he is never in the office and the only way to reach him was by email and you wait for a call. Seriously?!!! So, I emailed Brad and told him that I was interested in binding the insurance but based on what his receptionist told me I was going to have to go a different route. He emailed me back, instead of offering any kind of interest in earning our business. He says "Sorry that we were not able to assist you. Thank you for the opportunity to provide a quote." I am a retired business owner, and I cannot imagine blowing off a protentional customer! I debated whether to write a review, but I decided to inform others not to waste their time.

    Regina Moss: A representative from this company named Jose Alvarez called my client and switched his plan. My client is special needs and has a POA who takes care of all his needs including his Healthcare. According to my client Jose advised him in the conversation that he knew me which is a flat out lie. In doing so my client trusted him and the application was processed and submitted without the POA present or even being contacted. My client in turned called his mom who called me and I called the POA and we had to call to get this application canceled which cant happen for a few days. However the representatives that assisted us were a bit rude and even provided wrong information and when I questioned the information he stated he read it wrong. My client has medications and treatments that require a PA and this change would disrupt his entire treatment routine because he would have to start over not to mention the prescriptions it could affect. I am not sure the agent asked if he has a POA but my client clearly knows he does and has a copy of the paper himself. He gets these calls often and I have educated him but as I stated he is special needs and gets confused very easily. The agent telling my client that he knows me was a lie and deceitful and unethical way to gain trust. These calls are recorded and can be pulled if necessary and the agent hel accountable. However the actions of most of these call center agents are unacceptable and it needs to stop. All for a few extra dollars.Sad

    Eric Gill: January 8, 2020 In my experience, Goodwin Insurance is the best place to go for your insurance needs, especially Life Insurance and Health Insurance. They will shop the best deal possible. Richard Goodwin makes everything not only easy to understand but walks you through all your options so that you can make the best-informed choice. In my case, I am an AARP member and AARP sent me a Term Life Insurance proposal which they endorsed with their life insurance company at a cost of $236.00 per month. Richard and his wife, Kay, got me the same coverage with another company for less than $100.00 per month. That’s a savings of over $1,500.00 a year. I am sure lots of people fall for this AARP scam because of the name AARP. However, when it comes to Medicare Supplemental Insurance and Medicare Advantage Plans, Richard and Kay shopped me into a really good policy with an AARP affiliated plan which was not a scam price but a good deal. Just as important when it comes to your insurance needs, there is service after the sale. If one of your plans is going to substantially increase, they will notify you and let you know if there’s a cheaper alternative with the same coverage. I know they also do investments and while I have not used them for that, my hunch is anyone that conscientious in regards to insurance coverage will be just as conscientious on investments. Eric Gill
