1 /5 Management Dept: If you’re considering hiring Todd Kawecki—don’t.
I was arrested for DUI in July 2024. I paid Todd $3,500 in cash based on his promise to “fight to the end” and not just offer weak deals. Once I paid, everything changed. Calls and texts went ignored. Jessica, his assistant, also stopped responding consistently.
Todd offered me the mandatory minimum DUI plea deal—something I could’ve gotten from a public defender. When I refused, he basically told me I was “dead to rights.” I never felt like a priority, even days before sentencing.
After sentencing, I was told my hardship license was being handled. It wasn’t. I followed up for weeks with no clear guidance, no timeline, and vague instructions. I finally went to the DMV myself—paid $270 out of pocket—and found out I could’ve had my license back weeks earlier if I had just walked in. Their info was either totally wrong or just a lie.
The only time i felt i was a priority to them was after I said I was leaving a review for how terrible of an experience i had dealing with Kawecki law firm. I felt so special because i got individual calls from the entire firm that day. Amazing how fast they respond when it’s about their reputation—not your life.
This firm was careless, unresponsive, and completely unhelpful. I’ll say it clearly: Todd Kawecki did not fight for me. He cashed the check and disappeared.
and believe me when i say this is a VERY SHORT version of my review for this awful law firm.
