ernestine swearingen My husband and I were members of this wonderful Bible teaching church for a good number of years before moving to NC. Pastor Manning and Mrs Pat are super sweet people who love the Lord and all people. I wish I could still be there, but God had other plans for my family which have worked out very well. Every time I come to Gainesville to visit, I am in services at NGBC. Such a sweet and loving atmosphere among the people. Even the new members who I dont know treat me like family. If you love the Lord, you need to be in this church.

Laura Junio Awesome church with a young pastor of 22 years old but wiser than his age and on fire for the Lord. His wife is a nurse and he reminds me of a young version of Billy Graham. I am not put to sleep with his services. All kinds of worship songs for ages young to old. It is growing in numbers and it is an extension of Westside Baptist Church but located in the Southwest Kanapaha area. The members are all very friendly and they care about one another. We have smaller groups at peoples houses and potlucks either at church or in peoples houses. We have a great nursery and very good youth pastor. We have many events and opportunities to serve our community. I recommend trying it out.

J B Amazing community of believers with wise, loving elders/pastors leading the sheep. On our first Sunday, and every time weve had people with us who are visiting for the first time, the lead pastor has come over to intentionally talk with us and actually want to get to know those who are new. Weve found so many people on Sunday and in our community group who are extremely loving, caring, mature in their faith, and genuinely in love with the Lord. The church community also does an amazing job of looking for opportunities to get involved with loving downtown Gainesville, especially with those often marginalized or overlooked. May the Lord continue to use City Church for His glory!

While I am noise sensitive and the praise and worship was a bit loud for me, I was moved by the genuine atmosphere of caring and genuine faith and worship. Ive been watching on line ever since. The pastor here has such great energy and charisma and he teaches (not "preaches") from the heart. I cant wait to go back!

Those who preach seem to have done their homework from the Bible and other texts before speaking to the congregation. They also encourage the listeners to study on their own. The people are warm and welcoming and not everyone looks the same. Its definitely worth more than one visit.

Gainesville is such a unique town and this church is such a reflection of the diversity of the town. We have newborns to adults in their 90s and everything in between. As a mom of young children, I am so grateful for the community of young families, the strength of the children’s ministry and the heart of the children’s ministry volunteers, the teens and campus who pour time and every into our kids, and the mature adults who can impart wisdom and shepherd us as we raise our family. The location is amazing and so central to so many but can be an important part of UF Campus. Bonus! My School has the best reputation in town for high quality early childcare and it’s in the same building

Wonjin Egwuatu I have been in this church since 2019. I really enjoy how much this church dedicates themselves to the Word of God. They really love to quote the Bible, and make sure that we are not merely listening to the words of a preacher. I love all the church events from small ones to mega big ones. Highly recommend especially if you are someone who wants to get to know God over religion or an organization. We have people of all ages, from young children to retired elders.

Samantha G Affiliate of North Point Community Church in Atlanta. We went to Woodstock City in metro Atlanta and moved down here and found Anthem. While I always loved the messaging while at Woodstock City, Anthem provides a smaller, more intimate church experience with the same great message we are accustomed to. Our children LOVE their kids programs, Wambaland and Upstreet. They have fantastic programs for older children (middle and high school aged). If you want your children to develop a meaningful relationship with God, they do an amazing job of facilitating that and make everyone feel loved, welcome, and part of the Anthem family.

Vida Springs is a very warm and welcoming church that genuinely has a heart for people. I moved here for college and quickly found my best friends upon attending this church. At Vida the Sunday morning talks are centered around biblical passages and the message of Jesus Christ is always preached. The leadership here is extremely humble and always growing, challenging, and loving the community. This church genuinely feels like a family that constantly looks to encourage, correct, and do life with each other.

Since my first day at Vida I have been able to experience a warm and welcoming atmosphere (specially as an international student that had just recently moved to the US). Solansh Schrack I started attending Calvary Chapel Gainesville in early 2013, and have never left. Smaller fellowship that allows for deep relationship building and fellowship. Word by word, verse by verse, chapter by chapter expository teaching! And a body of believers who love Jesus! Couldn’t ask for anything more.

R Starr We just recently moved to the area and decided to go to a service. The staff was very welcoming upon our entry. Joy was one of the first to greet us and showed us around while introducing us to other members. The church is very well maintained and has great worship music. Pastor Rob preached a great message from the bible word for word, which seems to be the norm there. Calvary is not a large church, but definitely has alot of potential.

Brandon Ness Young pastor and the congregation seems nice but we were unable to make friends. Greeters seemed nice and one lady spoke to my wife. We left after 15 minutes of trying to make eye contact and smiling at people. Beautiful clean and well maintained facility. Not sure if we will try again but wanted to come to a Calvary Chapel for Easter as that is where we came from in California. Good message and they follow the Calvary doctrine.
