They have GREAT outreach ministries, super music, and you can feel the roar of the Holy Spirit’s JOY as you praise God for the guidance He offers to pull you out of sin and keep you centered on His path and covered with his protection. There’s a reason why UR is located where it is….for you! Join this church! Quit talking the talk….Let the Holy Spirit live in you. And if this review led you, leave a comment.

Zach Stavros Ive had the privilege to listen to many sermons under many teachers, some being nationally renoun and recognized. Yet, I still have never heard such solid, honest, unashamed, and deep teaching as I receive here. This is a place where the whole Bible is preached verse by verse without compromise. The truth is given in love. The fellowship is strong. The pastor does not only teach Jesus, but he also personally follows, fears, and knows Jesus. May God continue to bless this church and the faithful leadership. There is so much more that could be said, but all I can further add is "come and see."

Jennifer Pearson My family moved to Pensacola specifically to attend The Cross. We had listened to the sermons online for over a year before deciding it was the right church for us. The preaching is unashamedly Bible truth and spoken with grace and a true love for the body; the doctrine is solid reformed theology; the pastors strive for excellence, are approachable, genuine, and loving members of the body; the people genuinely care for one another and are welcoming; the music is biblically based; the Lord’s Supper is taken weekly; small groups place an emphasis on sound teaching and Christian fellowship; membership is taken seriously; the atmosphere is one of true family worship. We have grown exponentially since coming to The Cross and are so thankful for it!

Rodney Rhodes The Cross Church has excellent teaching and sound doctrine provided by the pastors. Very theologically rich music absorbed in Biblical truth. Family integration is also key in The Cross Church as the elders encourage families to practice family worship weekly. There are also parenting seminars, men’s internships, men’s and boys gatherings, women’s prayer groups, women’s Bible studies, and youth events. For youth events, the goal is for the entire church to be bringing up the youth in the ways of the Lord and is not merely for the youth to have “fun” though that does happen as well. There are “city group” Bible studies most evenings throughout the week which are dispersed around the city. City group leaders conduct a gospel catechism with the rest of the group and then discuss in-depth the sermon preached from that Sunday. If you are looking to grow as a Christian and become more like Christ, please give The Cross Church a chance!

Aldrich Aaron Reformed baptistic, the pastors/elders are John-Mark and Kent, and both are good teachers. The layout and content of the service is very purposeful and gospel centered, and the preaching of the word is well laid out and central to the service. We take the Lords Supper every week as a good reminder and good accountability. They have catechism for children, nursery for young ones, and early prayer for adults. Very sound teaching, and a great place to bring unbelievers who are in need of the gospel message, which is shared each week.

Ron W This church is a little cliquish. The earlier service appears to be the friendlier of the two services. 8 AM - Very welcoming. 10:30 - The lady collecting the offering sped past us without taking our money. The husband/wife in front of us looked at me during the greeting part of the ceremony and then quickly looked away without shaking my hand, and the husband was passing gas which were were downwind from. There was another instance in a past 10:30 service where people were apprehensive to shake my hand. I’m not sure what I’m doing. I don’t crack mirrors, and I don’t pee on the floor. Not a very Christian attitude. I also don’t find the pastor to be indiscriminately outgoing. He acted like he was afraid to address me once exiting the church. I mean, outreach is part of his job even towards those that are introverted such as myself. The associate pastor is much better.

Melissa Davidson Ive come across some disrespectful people that have made me feel unwelcomed. Ive been there during service to ask for their assistance only for it to make the man mad, told us to get our food and leave. Its a church... What happened to come join us for service? Why the get your stuff and get out? Why couldnt we stay to worship God? It really made me upset. With the stress from that(being told to leave a church made me heartbroken) and everything else, I ended up having a miscarriage. Now, being pregnant, hungry, asking for assistance, and being told to get it and go has made me lose hope. I still love God, hes still in my heart, I still have faith, but all my hope for anything vanished when I wasnt allowed to attend church because I was homeless and asking for assistance. God didnt have a home, he wore a robe. Why does it matter what you wear to church anyway?

Praise God for this church and the work they do for the kingdom of God! There is no better place to be on the Lords day.

Matthew Bodycombe This church has a great print ministry distributing sound Reformed Christian literature from the English Puritans right up to the 20th Century and they will send it to you free of charge up to a value of $20 wherever you are in the world. I found a title that I had been struggling to find in hard copy so am very grateful to them. I have also checked out their Pastor’s preaching on Sermonaudio and found it very good. I am in the UK but i’d say if you live near this Church stroll on over: the teaching is good and the hearts seem generous.

David Henderson I have been ordering for about 6 months now and am amazed at how how the Lord is “drawing me” through this literature. I think the 10 item limit free of charge is quite generous despite the one paperback limit which is quite understandable. The more I read, the more I want to read and can sense this spiritual hunger growing as each month I order more literature I get as excited about it’s arrival as a child on Christmas morning. Clearly this group is called to this ministry and encourage others to spread the news of this literally priceless resource. Get the catalog and approach it prayerfully and enjoy the blessing by blessing others. Thanks to everyone at Chapel Library and Mt Zion Bible Church/faithful ministers of the Word.
