5 /5 Andrew Gallant: Fantastic school. All of the staff and instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. The Survey class was very hands-on and allowed me the ability to learn new knowledge, fill gaps, and get real-world hands on with various vessels. The instructors were all great to work with and all of them offered to help us once we left class. The campus is beautiful. The rooms were really nice, had everything you needed, and not once could I hear my neighbors through the walls.

5 /5 Kent Sauter: What a wonderful experience! I am planning on purchasing a twin inboard yacht and decide that some training was indicated. I took the week long course and had Captain Al for both classroom and practical boating at the helm. This was great training by a patient and professional captain. Ill probably take their two week course in the near future. Their apartment accommodation made the experience convenient.

5 /5 Mick Price: I just recently completed the survey course. Having been in the boating industry all my life, in design, build and repair, I was looking for a new avenue to utilize my experience. The course and especially the instructors were all very good and i found the course interesting and informative. I would say it exceeded my expectations.

Our time on the water was invaluable and our captain was really helpful throughout the day and showed the perfect balance of modeling, coaching and letting us figure things out in real time. We feel 10x more confident in our skills after the on the water courses. Highly recommended!

5 /5 Korner Kiddos (Kiddo): I recommend the Chapman School of Seamanship to anyone seeking to start a career in the maritime industry. I have taken the test prep program for OUPV, the upgrade to Master as well as the Marine Radio Operator and the Towing Endorsement. Tom, our instructor gave us a lot of useful information including emphasis on the things that tend to trip students up on the tests and paperwork needed to apply for your USCG licenses. If you pay attention, ask questions and take notes you should be well prepared for the tests given at the end of each course. The multimedia approach to teaching keeps things interesting and relevant to the tests required for licensing. I also took the First Aid/CPR course with instructor Steve Hitchcock and it honestly was the best CPR course Ive ever taken. If you really want to have a career on the water this is a great place to start and a great place to upgrade. Annie and the office staff are very helpful and informative when signing up and when paying for any additional courses. The entire experience was a positive one for me and my classmates.
