5 /5 Lexie Petticrew: I absolutely recommend Jubilee Christian Academy! As a mom transitioning children from homeschool to a brick & mortar school last year I was so nervous about finding a good school & we feel so incredibly blessed to have found JCA. I had one in 2nd grade & one in their VPK program.
I have so many wonderful things to say about the school & here are a few:
1. The school culture. There was such a strong school culture centered around Christ-like values & that made a huge impact with my children. Also the classes had such a great culture within them, it was amazing to see a class full of students that worked together & grew together.
2. The teachers. The class sizes were around 16-18 students per class & the teachers were incredible (shout out to Ms. Davis & Ms. Melody!) my 2nd grader was really struggling with reading and, alongside ms. Davis honing in on the skills he needed to learn & individualizing a learning plan for him, he was able to get tutoring at-school with the title one service. Ms. Debbie was the teacher & she was always so supportive & encouraging & always built her students up & believed in them, by the end of the year my son had made leaps & bounds with his reading progress.
3. I appreciated the curriculum. Their reading curriculum was Abeka & it was fairly advanced per grade but I appreciated how much it pushed the students to do their best.
4. Their VPK program was amazing. Iām so grateful my son was able to attend this program & he learned SO much, I have no doubt he is amply prepared to go into kindergarten with success. Also culture, teachers, curriculum all apply with this program as well.
5. Bonus is they have an amazing large playground that is shaded by beautiful oaks!
A good outdoor space was important to our family & this has a wonderful space for students!
Truly the school is set up to serve the students & I love that our children look forward to school. Our family is so grateful to be a part of the JCA family.
