5 /5 Alan Fenick: I attended Central Beach Elementary School from 1956 to 1958. While the name has changed my memories are still vivid. My teachers especially Mr Paul Rutenberg guided me and mentored me and his memory is with me now that I’m 80yo. The school still looks quite familiar and it to brings back memories. The cafeteria staff were much more than employees, they watched out for you as a friend would. Remember one student’s family didn’t have money for lunches. The staff paid for his lunches and made a take home bag each day for him. The school has such a rich past and a bright future! I will not, can not ever forget my school. Upon graduation from the 6th Grade I went to Ida M.Fisher Junior High just across the street. Then on to Miami Beach Senior High. I was a LPN and Registered Nurse for 52 years!
