5 /5 Jen B: I cant praise this school enough. Ive watched my child gain valuable real-world experience, develop problem-solving skills, and become genuinely excited to go to school each day. While the teaching style may not suit everyone, I feel my child is thriving and learning things they wouldnt have encountered in a traditional school. I chose this school for its compassion, and it has definitely lived up to my expectations.

Although its an unconventional school, it was the right environment at the right time for our child. The schools unique approach has helped our child blossom socially, making many friends and connections along the way. 5 /5 Brian Schuster: At first I didnt agree with the schools philosophy but my wife was 100% convinced so I agreed to send our son to Sunset Sudbury, thinking she would eventually see my side and pull him out. That didnt happen. Four years later we enrolled our daughter and I was still not convinced even though I could see how happy and well adjusted my 8 year old son was. I still wasnt seeing how they were learning basic academics. Fast forward to both my children graduating and moving on from Sunset Sudbury. My son has gathered many academic awards as well as being chosen for a coveted teacher assistant position in Computer Science as a Freshman at University of Florida. My daughter was invited to enroll into New World School of the Arts as one of the 11% of applicants accepted. Suffice to say that today after experiencing the philosophy and seeing the brilliant outcome for both my children, I now join my entire family in recommending Sunset Sudbury School. Self-directed education creates a happy person that never loses their love of learning.

5 /5 L Green: My kids have been at Sunset Sudbury School since they started school, and I honestly can’t imagine a better place for them. After trying homeschooling, I wanted somewhere they could be themselves and grow in their own unique way. This school has given them that, along with plenty of expectations and accountability that have helped them grow into responsible, thoughtful little humans. The people here aren’t just teachers, they’ve become guides, friends, and a second family to my children. They’ve been with us every step of the way, encouraging my kids to take ownership of their learning and their choices. I don’t know if they’d be who they are today without the love, support, and inspiration they’ve found here. It’s not just about the Sudbury philosophy, it’s the way this community works together with trust and respect. The kids are given freedom, but they’re also expected to step up and be accountable to themselves and others. Watching my children grow, explore, and take on responsibility has been such a gift. I’m beyond grateful to be part of the Sunset Sudbury School family. It’s not just a school, it’s a place where my kids are learning how to thrive in life.

5 /5 Debra McKeen: I sent my child to Sunset Sudbury School because he needed something different. My son was always very bright but tests and homework always put too much pressure on him. I found what he was being forced to learn unnecessary for his growth. He needed this time at Sunset Sudbury to be free and enjoy his life. Today, he is a well rounded, kind and hardworking adult. I couldn’t be happier with how this school helped my child through a difficult period in his life.
