3 /5 Mitch Thibodeau: Galatis has been purchased/replaced by Big Italian. Our food was tastey but Id say our fried apps were superior to our pie. We had a large pie with pep, sausage, ham, and black olive. None of the toppings really spoke out loud and I particularly thought the ham crumbles were less than appealing. We tried half servings of onion rings and "homemade" mushrooms. I had to ask how the mushrooms were prepared as the menu does not describe them at all, just "homemade". They are breaded and deep fried button mushrooms. By button they meant softball, apparently. They were quite good but way larger than expected given their button monicker.
The fried sides were very good, despite the gigantism of the mushrooms. The pie was not nearly as good as its price tag.
The location is identical to how Galatis left it, down to the custom built insulated tiles they use as pizza rests on the tables.
Over priced lack luster pies with rather tasty sides. Excellent service from the wait staff. I will return but Ill buy a tiny pizza with extra appetizers next time. (Photo of the "button" mushrooms attached [theyre huge!])
