2 /5 David Martinez: Met up with my wife and friend after an earlier meal. I ordered a mojito, which was bland/little flavor/watery but drinkable nonetheless. I asked for another and was delivered an old fashioned instead which I accepted with no hesitation thinking that it may be a better choice. Not good. Whichever ‘house brand’ liquor is used just isn’t good, and the overall taste was honestly, bad. I paid and was not offered a receipt. The bartender just finished the transaction and walked away without asking if I wanted a receipt so i finally got my receipt and saw that I was charged twice for tax. After wasted time speaking to four different staff, I was given a correct receipt by the manager who stated thst it’s an ongoing problem they have been having. Obviously if it’s an ongoing issue, they should review the charges before the transaction is finalized, rather than keeping an additional 7 or 8 percent tax for themselves at every transaction. Now I need to waste time reviewing my account so that i am not charged for two transactions for the same items. And, to little surprise, no apology whatsoever from the manager. Afterwards, we walked to Cafe La Trova, which was absolutely packed and were greeted warmly at the door, directed to the rear bar where there was more seating, had exquisite drinks and bartending staff was friendly and accurate with the tab.
