1 /5 Sofia Perez: I used to come to this place all the time. This was one of my favorite Mexican restaurants to come to. I hadnt been here in a while, so I decided to go today. It started off well; the chips and salsa were good. The service was good, and my food came out fast. But none of that matters when you factor in the quality of the food: it was so unbelievably bad. First of all, the refried beans were wattery! Straight up liquid! And they barely gave me any rice with it either. The tacos were honesty horrendous. The shells were overcooked, so they were very hard to bite into. The chicken and toppings tasted odd. I dont even know how to explain it, but they didnt taste like how they should. I believe that even Taco Bells tacos are better than the ones I had today! Also, when did their prices get so expensive? They were never "cheap," but these prices are outrageous, especially for the portions and quality they give you! So they raised the prices but decreased quality? Wow. Im in disbelief. This was a very disappointing experience to have after not coming here for a few months, especially after genuinely being excited to come back. I will not be returning.

The chicken wasn’t cut-up chicken cutlets or thighs as you’d expect—it was tinga, which is typically used for tostadas rather than tacos. The taco shell itself was also unusual: a deep-fried shell wrapped instead of a regular tortilla. The toppings were more like something from a fast-food chain—lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream—instead of the traditional cilantro and onion. The rice and beans were okay, but they didn’t have that authentic flavor you look for in a Mexican restaurant. Casa Azteca has a prime location and a lot of potential, but they really need to improve the authenticity and quality of their dishes to deliver the true flavors people expect and to attract more clientele.

5 /5 Heather Beaird: We stopped in the other night while walking around town. We were a bit wound up but they didn’t seem to mind. We were going to just have drinks so we sat at the bar. The drinks were cold and delicious. It was 2 beers and 2 margaritas for us. While chilling we decided to grab something to eat. Beto was at the bar so he took our order. Some quesadillas, a burrito and a special order were our requests. The food was really good. Portions were great we had to bring some home. We had a great time! All I can say is the drinks may make you use the wrong bathroom lol. And be sure to give everyone a hug when you go because “It’s Hug Day”
