3 /5 Erin Ellis: Food was nice, service was quite slow but friendly. Very bustling inside so the noise was overwhelming. Ordered off the weekly specialty menu (Spanish week). Was excited to try the paella, which turned out more like a risotto. Missing the crispy socarrat that is characteristic of traditional paella. Instead the rice was slightly undercooked considering the 35 minute wait time. The seafood in the dish was okay but the mussels and clams could have been more generous (small amount of meat). The ribeye was actually delicious. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Oysters were excellent and paired with an interesting grapefruit mignonette. Dessert was flourless chocolate cake and an orange crème brûlée. Not too sweet, but the crème could have had more brûlée. The only concern was the amount of time it took for each dish to come out. People at the bar were serve, served bread with their meal, and we were not offered that. We were there for almost 2 hours seated at a high top which wasn’t ideal, but we did not have reservation reservations. Perhaps next time we will try the other side of the dining room.
