1 /5 Tristan Hill: My wife placed an order for a sandwich, specifically requesting no cheese due to a dairy allergy. This was clearly written on the order ticket, but the sandwich was made with cheese regardless.
The order already took a long time (around 25-30 minutes), so when we discovered the error, we decided to simply ask for a refund on the untouched sandwich.
At the counter, staff said they couldnt issue a refund and could only remake it. I rejected the offer as we werent willing to wait another 20-30 minutes. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was pointed to her (she was making sandwiches right next to the employee). She ignored direct requests for assistance, even when another customer tried to get her attention for me. When I approached her politely, she said she "had to call her boss" but continued working without making the call, effectively brushing me off.
After waiting and asking two additional times, I eventually spoke to another employee from the back who quickly processed the refund – no issues there.
While the refund was ultimately provided, the entire process felt dismissive and unprofessional even by sandwich shop standards.
Instead of simply owning the mistake and taking care of the customer and resolving the issue quickly, this location’s handling of the situation has turned a non-issue into a 1-star review.
