1 /5 Gerial Paul: I came to this restaurant around 8 AM and ordered a smoothie. I was really disappointed to see that it was made almost entirely of sugar and artificial fruit flavoring.. the only real fruit I noticed was banana. I had debated ordering breakfast while waiting, but after watching the amount of sugar being added to my smoothie, I changed my mind.
When I confronted the staff about it, I was told it was just “a little bit of sugar,” but in reality it was several large spoonfuls. I drank it anyway, not wanting to waste the time or cause an issue, but I really wish I hadn’t.
Here’s what happened: right after drinking it, I felt an immediate burst of energy, especially since I went straight to the gym. But within 30–45 minutes, I started feeling sick.. headache, nausea, my teeth hurting, almost like a hangover. I ended up crashing so hard that I needed hours of sleep, and it wasn’t until around 5:30 that I felt somewhat back to normal. I’ve been trying to sweat the sugar out of my system all day just to feel better.
On top of that, the hospitality was not top-tier at all. I didn’t even get a “hello” or “how are you today” when I walked in.. if I hadn’t spoken up first, I don’t think anyone would have said anything.
If you’re expecting a fresh, healthy smoothie and welcoming service, this is not the place to find it.
Couldn’t upload the video of the sugar loaded at the bottom of the cup so here’s a screenshot of the video
