5 /5 Rika B: This was my first time visiting Frenchman Street Food, and I’m so glad I did! It’s exciting to see a fully vegan restaurant in Gainesville. We ordered the breakfast po’ boy and the chicken po’ boy with sides of roasted red potatoes plus red beans and rice. My mom and I swapped sandwiches so we could try both—absolutely delicious. The bread was perfect for a po’ boy: soft inside, crunchy outside. I also loved the variety of hot sauce options!
The vibe is awesome and inviting, and I was thrilled to see that brunch is served all day (a big plus for a brunch person like me). John was super sweet and friendly, and the whole staff went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable even though the A/C was out that day. We sat outside and had no issues, but I give the team major credit for working through the heat and keeping everything running smoothly.
I’ll definitely be back to try more menu items—slowly but surely, I think I’ll make my way through the whole menu!
