Izzys Fish & Oyster - Fort Myers (FL)

4 /5 G s: Happy September 1st and Labor Day. Hope everyone had a great long weekend. My wife and I were hoping to find a dining experience beyond the usual chain restaurants, so we consulted Yelp for some local recommendations, and Izzys caught our interest. We had an early dinner, so the restaurant was super quiet and not busy. We got a table right away. Upon being greeted with a pleasant welcome by our server, Kaylie, I mentioned that it was our first visit. Would she be able to recommend any particularly delicious items from the menu. She responded with several recommendations and demonstrated considerable knowledge. I ordered the Fried Fishermans Basket and my wife had the Salmon. Our meals were delicious. The piece of fried fish was truly exceptional. The oysters and shrimp were quite enjoyable as well. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her salmon. The ambiance was not overly loud, although the restaurant was not particularly crowded. The tables in the dining area were arranged rather closely together. In fact, the proximity of the table next to ours allowed us to overhear a conversation between two ladies who were discussing real estate. We ended up learning a great deal about real estate and one of their date nights, which illustrates just how close we were to the adjacent table. The only concern I had was that the coleslaw and one of the condiment holders in my Fishermans Basket were placed directly on the food. I would like to commend Kaylie, our server, for her exceptional service and professionalism. The food was truly excellent, deserving of a perfect five-star rating. In conclusion, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the Military Discount.

5 /5 Tammy Bigley: If you are visiting Fort Myers, this place is a must! Great service! Our server Dominic was very attentive but not intrusive and gave excellent feedback and recommendations. The food was phenomenal... best lobster Ive ever had and cheers to the bartender too... The smoked Old Fashioned was perfect!

4 /5 James Casey: Cool place in the River District of Fort Myers. Its a bit pricey but expected for places in this location. The blackend shrimp wrap was very good, no crimping on that one. The gator bites and ghost pepper sauce were good, but the smallest Ive ever had. The tuna tower was good. It needs something better than crackers to go with it. The drinks were cold, and Alliyah, our server, was very nice and attentive. Ill be back to try other items on the menu.
