1 /5 Jason Powers: This was my first time trying Peruvian food, it was a major disappointment. Im a truck driver. I parked at loves, walked over and got my food to go. The disappointment started while I was ordering. I went to pay for my food and one of my $10 bills had a corner missing. They completely refused to take it, with no explanation as to why. Its a valid bill that still has both serial numbers and the majority of it intact still. But I learned long ago not to argue with ignorance, so I used a different bill. I definitely paid for overpriced food. The potato appetizer I ordered was completely cold and tasteless when I ate it. The egg was a nice touch to the dish though. The beef noodles I ordered tasted like Chinese noodles with broccoli beef, only without the broccoli and twice as expensive. The one good thing is that the dish was still very hot when I ate it. Usually, whenever I try ethnic dishes I havent had before, theyre full of flavor. Not here though. It seems like theyre using the "Peruvian" name to justify charging high prices for very basic dishes.
