1 /5 kayla butler: If I could leave 0 stars I would. I genuinely do not have words for how I was treated in this place. For starters, it’s Christmas Eve. I had a terrible day at work and had just picked my 8 yr old son up. We were on our way home when I last minute decided to get food since I hadn’t eaten all day and I was starving. I remembered this Larry’s was right there on the corner getting off from the shands bridge. I didn’t google anything, it was like 5:55PM or so going in so I figured it was fine. The open sign was on. There was another man going in at the same time as us. First impression of the lady at the register was her off putting attitude, there were other employees in there, but I only dealt with the older woman in a red jacket. But it was like our presence was a burden. I put my order in and she told us she would hand us the food when it was done, so we got our drinks and were sitting at a table in the corner. About five minutes later, I decided to take my kid to wash his hands in the bathroom; the door was wide open. We’re in the middle of washing our hands when the lady starts screaming “ma’am, your food is ready” like actually raised her voice To a higher volume than was necessary. I frantically told her one minute Because I taken back, so we finished and went and sat back down, and I started getting our subs ready to eat. She comes around the corner, turning the TVs off and asked me “are you guys gonna be awhile?” I said no, she goes “ well we have been closed since yall came in here, did you not know we weren’t open?” Or something like that With such attitude. This was when I learned they were closing. At no point before this was I aware of that. Now I understand their closing. I’m not the type of person to go to a restaurant before they close. A simple “hey just so you know, we are closed but you can go head and order real quick” BEFORE I even ordered would’ve made a world of difference and I probably would’ve just left to respect their time. It’s my fault for not checking the website but the OPEN sign was on, they took my order and said nothing up until I started to eat. NOT TO MENTION for two people, an adult and a child, the meal was $35 plus the 10% tip I left (which isn’t required for this type of establishment but because it’s Christmas and they put it in your face, I left a tip) but I definitely shouldn’t of based on this experience. Right after that, I immediately packed our sandwiches back up after only taking one bite and rushed my child out the door to drive 30 minutes home to finally eat my food. She didn’t say thank you, happy holidays, absolutely nothing as we were walking out of the door that she was standing right next to. It was so embarrassing and ridiculous with my CHILD right there. I will not be going back, and would’ve had a better experience at Walmart.
