5 /5 Jon KeL: This was my first time dining here, but from the moment I walked in, it immediately felt like home. There’s something special about a place where the staff greets regulars by name—it tells you everything you need to know about the kind of service and community they’ve built. When people keep coming back, you know they’re doing something right.
I went with a sampler plate that included pulled pork, sliced beef and ribs, and they did not disappoint. Tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The house made sauces were a great complement to the meal. The mac and cheese was rich and comforting—definitely a solid side. The green beans weren’t really my favorite, but that’s more personal preference than anything else. Oh and that iced tea was so refreshing.
The only real letdown? They were out of banana pudding by the time I finished my meal—which honestly just confirmed how good it must be. Note to self: get there earlier next time!
All in all, this place has great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and clearly a loyal customer base. I’ll definitely be back—next time with banana pudding in mind!
