Pamplemousse on The Bay
When we visited for the first time, we had an amazing “Sunset Hour.” We went for drinks and appetizers and of course, the Sunset and spectacular views of Miami.
Our second time around was disappointing, not because of the views or our waitress, Rekkas, but of the confusion around the food. Before we visit a restaurant, we like to see the menu online to have an idea of what we would like to eat. When we got to the restaurant, we were informed that it was under new management and that they had a new menu. No problem, we inquired about the day’s special and the waitress sent one of the owners. He went over the menu and we decided on the Pan Seated Scallops, Special of the day. It was only three scallops on a butter sauce. When we asked, they told us that they got confused and that the plate was an appetizer. We also had “The Lemon Spaghetti with Caviar”. This plate is listed as $19.00 on the menu and if you add Caviar it says $29.00. They charged was $48.00 for the spaghetti. I called the restaurant and spoke to one of the owners/managers and he was kind enough to refund some of the charges because of the confusion. Despite what happened, we had a great time and we are recommending Pamplemouse on the Bay.
