5 /5 Alberto Ponce: I visited Steelbach in Tampa to celebrate my brother’s birthday with my fiancé, and I was really looking forward to trying it. I enjoy visiting Michelin-recognized restaurants, and I had heard good things about this one, so I was excited.
The first thing I noticed was the ambience. The restaurant is beautifully designed and has a warm, inviting layout that feels perfect for a celebration. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.
I ordered the chicken and dumplings along with the mac and cheese. I personally really enjoyed my meal. The flavors were great and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Some people at the table mentioned that the mac and cheese had too many crumbs on top for their preference, but I actually loved that part. Everyone’s tastes are different, so I understood the mixed thoughts.
The service was also very good. Our server was attentive and friendly throughout the night. The manager even came by to check on our table, which was a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel more personal. The only thing I would mention is that the drinks didn’t quite meet the expectations I had going in. They weren’t bad, just not as standout as I was hoping for given the restaurant’s reputation.
Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere, the food I ordered, and the service all made the night feel special. I would definitely recommend Steelbach to others and I will be returning the next time I’m in Tampa.
