2 /5 Brianna P: What should have been an elevated dining experience instead felt like a concept that never quite made it out of rehearsal. For a restaurant that positions itself within the higher end dining sphere, the atmosphere was noticeably tired more dated supper-club nostalgia than intentional classic charm and badly in need of fresh eyes and a refresh.
The evening took a nosedive when multiple flies began circling the table, culminating in buzz lightyear (afruit fly) taking a dive straight into half a glass of wine. The glass was replaced bc we bough a bottle however without so much as an apology or consideration to comp it, which for any establishment aspiring to fine-dining standards signals a lapse in both hospitality and awareness. As someone who’s worked in the restaurant industry, that alone was enough to fracture the experience.
The food, while plated with ambition, arrived curiously flat as if the seasoning had been dialed back at the last second. It lacked depth, warmth, and the confidence you expect from a kitchen aiming for refinement. Instead of crescendo, the meal drifted along without direction an underwhelming performance from start to finish.
In the end, the night felt less like a special occasion and more like a reminder that reputation alone can’t carry a restaurant. I won’t be returning.
