1 /5 Ebony Bradwell: Christtown was the place that truly ministered to my heart. Mary, of the highest standard of morality made me feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer and a child of God.
Throughout the past year, I have received dirty looks, hard mean stares from the two women from the front desk. I understand that the hate they have shown me by rolling their eyes every time I enter the store and cater to the other patrons with respect and rolling their eyes at me when I speak to them is from their deepest hate.
So they smile and say "yes maam" and default to their native language to alienate you.
In past conversations, they made comments about my clothing and my appearance. " This looks like me and that looks like me." People from different countries come to the states with a preconceived notion of "some of us" and when they are unable to reduce you to the image of a slave, because youre well dressed and most importantly - you have harmony with other Americans. It infuriates them and they feel justified trying to alienate you.
Incidentally, Mrs. Mary- woman of pure dignity and grace is being overrun by them. There was an incident last week, where they were talking about the books and it got heated.
Mary said- "were going to start from the beginning ."
They had a $50 used wheelchair that a sophisticated senior, customer, (woman) was so infuriated because she knew it was overpriced. In a consignment shop, there is fair market value for used items. They have $40- 50 used purses with holes in them.
In short, this blessed woman Mrs. Mary needs help. I wrote this review for an actual authority to intervene before they destroy this blessed place that was a place of peace, and refuge for me at the darkest time in my life and many others.
I truly hope Mrs. Mary, the smartest, most loving woman in town gets the help she deserves- Christtown.
