3 /5 Kimberly Childester: The thrift store has a pretty good selection on items, but dont exoect alot to be priced cheap like a yard sale.
I would recommend finding out when they have the "50% Off on everything sale" as you can splurge then HOWEVER, the reason I rated them at 3 stars vs. 5 is today I attended the 50% Off sale. That being said this was the 3rd time Ive been to this sale. I picked a bunch of small household items as usual and the bill was $98, making it $44. When I got home, like tye last 2 times, I added everything up and had been overcharged $14. The 2 previous times I had been overcharged $10, then $12, as well.
Now, Ill take some responsibility as to not adding the items up in my head before hand, but the problem today, and the last 2 times, the lady behind the register had already begun to wrap most of my items (it looks as if she writes everything down on a notepad for the items as she deals with them). There are alot of people in there during the 50% sale so its pretty chaotic, so there might be serious confusion by the check out.
I would say one time, ok, but being charged over $10 on 3 separate occasions does not look good. Im not saying this was intentional by any means, just seemed odd/frustrating is all.
Therefore MAKE SURE if your buying alot of little things you add them up as you go along to make sure you dont overpay and there will be a clear understanding as to what your actually paying for if a discrepancie occurs. Another side note, if you buy a pair of earrings, have her hand them directly to you vs. Her putting them in a small plastic bag. I got home today and 1 earring and 1 cufflink was NOT in the tiny bag, making that a waste of money as well. The EXACT thing happened the 1st time I shopped there.
What do they say about the 3rd times a charm? Lol. Ive learned my lesson and hope this helps you when you shop there :).
