5 /5 Peter Apuyan: Great Trails & Peaceful Escape
Conservation Park is a great spot if you’re looking to get outside and enjoy some fresh air away from the crowds. The park has a network of well-maintained trails and boardwalks that take you through wetlands and pine forests, making it a great place for walking, running, or biking.
I visited on a cool afternoon and barely ran into anyone, which made it even more peaceful. The trails range from short, easy walks to longer loops over 10 miles, so there’s something for everyone. Wildlife lovers will enjoy spotting birds, turtles, and the occasional deer.
One thing to keep in mind—there’s not much shade on some trails, so bring water and sunscreen, especially in the summer. Also, since it’s a wetland area, bug spray is probably needed during spring and summer months.
Overall, it’s a beautiful and quiet place to explore nature, whether you’re looking for a short stroll or a long hike. Yes, there are also bathroom facilities and paper maps available onsite.
