5 /5 Kelly Morris: This museum is a nice little gem. It was easy to find and parking is just across the street. The highlight of my visit was the garden. The azaleas were blooming, which gave the garden such nice color and promise of Spring. The museum was nice with unusual art displays. The childrens section of the museum was impressive with hands on displays. I cant wait to bring grandkids here.

5 /5 astrida mcfarland: This museum is one of the 10 best that I have visited in the States and Europe because it combines art work and a beautiful artistically appealing garden that overlooks the Fuller bridge over the St Johns River. The museum has ramps and pathways to help visitors with mobility issues. The museum also has wheelchair accessible entrances, parking, seating, and restrooms. Allegedly the museum also provides wheelchairs for free. I would call first. There are also cafes available if you are hungry. You can also sign up with a guided tour of 10 people at $25 per person. Plan to spend 2.5 hours to see everything at a normal pace. It is so worth it.

5 /5 Carolyn Adams: We shared a wonderful visit to the gallery and gardens yesterday. It was peaceful and relaxing, as well as entertaining. The garden overlooking the river, with the magnificent live oak, made me want to sit awhile with a good book. We finished off our visit with lunch outside from the cafe. It was delicious! Thanks to the staff for making our day such a pleasure.

5 /5 Charm Golden: What an amazing evening at the Cummer Museum’s Friday Night Summer Nights! It was the perfect family outing — relaxing, fun, and full of good vibes. The band Chillakaya brought incredible energy with their live music, setting the perfect tone for the night. The gardens were beautiful, the views by the river were stunning, and we loved the big yard chess game — such a fun touch! Great food, tasty drinks, and plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely a must-do summer experience in Jacksonville. Can’t wait to come back!

Tree Hill Nature Center - Jacksonville

laura micalizzi: This place is wonderful! Me and my adult age daughter wanted to get some steps in and figured we’d give this place a shot. It was so peaceful and the landscape was beautiful. A Florida rainstorm had just moved through and dropped buckets of rain, so we didn’t venture through all the wooded paths, but we did do almost all of it. There’s goats and chickens and pigs and alligators and also an indoor space with some snakes and turtles. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back when it’s sunny. We are adults and didn’t do all the trails and we were there about 2 hours. If it was drier, we may have been there a little longer. Highly recommend!

MOSH (Museum Of Science & History) - Jacksonville

Hannah Rodriguez: My toddler and elementary aged kiddos loved it here! The staff was friendly and while we didn’t play on it, the indoor playground (5 and under) looked very nice! Other than that area, though, it was all pretty run down at best and kinda janky in others. Either way, the kids couldn’t tell the difference and the older learned or brushed up on a lot of science! We took advantage of the EBT/WIC discount and got $3 entry for myself, free for one kid and then my toddler was free all the time.

Southbank Riverwalk - Jacksonville

Inday Grasya: A beautiful place to walk, with amazing view. When we visit there last week we encountered the beautiful sightseeing of dolphins and they so gorgeous. They have also playground for the kids and fountain that give u refreshing feelings. Very clean as well.

Castaway Island Preserve - Jacksonville

S D: Beautiful nature gateway. Pretty small trail but very peaceful. Great to come here on a New Year’s Day walk. Sadly did not see much wild life but there are many informative signs of the wild life animals that do live in the salty marsh environment. It was my first time observing this type of environment. There is a main Island trail and on the side there are some observance spots as well.

Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens - Jacksonville

Pilar Rodriguez: Such a peaceful and beautiful place! We visited the Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens with our dog and we loved it. The trails are well-maintained and easy to follow, with gorgeous views and a mix of shaded and sunny areas. It felt safe and super relaxing. My pup was happy sniffing around and walking the trails (on leash, of course), and there were plenty of spots to stop, rest, and enjoy nature. It’s a perfect little escape from the city—definitely worth the $3 entry. We’ll be back soon!

dope!Mike: Had a nice relaxing three day stay at this park while exploring the area. I like how theres a beach across the street from the Campground. Makes for easy sunset walks or an early morning swim.

The park came alive with local artists showcasing their work, live music filling the ai, and food trucks lining the edges with the scent of great eats. The lighting and setup gave the whole space a vibrant, welcoming vibe. It was the perfect mix of community, culture, and downtown nightlife. Whether youre into visual art, live performance, or just enjoying a good crowd, Art Walk at JWJ Park is a must-experience part of Jacksonvilles local scene.

Big Talbot Island State Park - Jacksonville

Jessica Hollon-Tuell: The trail is longer than I expected, to get to the beach but it was a nice, pleasant walk. The beach itself was gorgeous! All the dead trees really gave it a mildly spooky, cool, ethereal vibe and the waves were so mild, we just chilled in the water for hours.

Little Talbot Island State Park - Jacksonville

303of3: We enjoyed this beach so much! It is less crowded and has a more rustic, natural beach setting. The sand is soft and the beach area is clean. There are lots of shells available on the beach as well.

Memorial Park - Jacksonville

Faith Ross: Well designed park space with an expansive view of the St. Johns River. Trees and landscaped gardens border the the outside of a wide pedestrian circular walking path. Benches along the walkway are given ample shade by the bordering trees. The center of the park remains a wide open grass area for picnics or a game of catch. The open area also enhances the view of its dramatic riverside sculpture and the river. The azaleas were spectacular this year!
