Ritchey Plaza - Daytona BeachAlisa Jeffries: Cool place on the beach. There are great restaurants and a movie theater with $6 movies all the time. It’s right on the water. The architecture is fun.
Magic Milk Island Art - Daytona BeachChristina Barnes: This was a very creative and sweet activity to do with my 3 little kids and my mom (their grandma) as a birthday gift for her. Would recommend especially arts and craft interested kids and families who love the beach!
Daytona beach access cars - Daytona Beachamelia h: Gorgeous beach, really great experience but they do have rules and restrictions. Day pass is $30 or you can get a annual pass for $150. You can’t drive right up to the water, there’s designated areas you can drive/park and you have to park at the farthest area back away from the water. Super busy on weekends, hard to find a spot.
City Island Park - City of Daytona Beach - Daytona BeachWolfgang Wendland: The main pier was closed while I visited, but overall it was a great area. Well manicured, plenty of free parking, and lots of walking space to enjoy the river views.
Congo River Golf - Daytona BeachShane Mann: Nice course and lots of cool props. My son and I enjoyed playing there. Pricing is a little high but being on beachside in Daytona Beach, it’s geared more towards tourists than locals. Still an enjoyable day out in the beautiful weather!
Tarragona Tower - Daytona BeachRoads Traveled Photography: On this site in 1975 was found the best preserved and most complete giant ground sloth ever found in North America. The sloth weighed three to five tons, stood thirteen feet tall and was a vegetarian. An estimated fifty species of animals were unearthed approximately twelve feet below the surface of the ground. Mary McLeod Bethune House - Daytona BeachJennifer Nanek: This is a beautifully restored historic House of a very famous Floridian..Mary McLeod Bethune.
My tour guide was very nice and very knowledgeable. It took me 20 minutes to come and see this hidden treasure.
A highly recommended visit for any history geek.
