5 /5 Athena DeFelice: Lovely little park with a number of differently themed gardens and plenty of benches throughout. Entry is free, and it takes maybe 20-30 minutes if youre just strolling. Some gardens are full sun and others lots of shade. With the way we walked it, it felt like we came upon shady sections right as the sun was getting to be too much.

5 /5 Larry Gross: We dropped in on a whim. Theres plenty of parking adjacent to the gardens. The gardens are self guided, and there is a QR code near the entrance that can be scanned for additional information. This was a great time to go, just a little after noon and the first day of Spring. Some of the walking paths arent clearly defined, but its manageable. As Spring has just sprung, there are plenty of flowers to take in. Most areas are decently attended to, and others can use some attention. Overall, its a nice diversion and best if all its free. Enjoy.

5 /5 Hill B.: I never knew this wonderful garden existed until recently. The many zones showcase different plants with educational plaques. Its a beautiful garden to take an afternoon stroll through while learning something new. They have a self guided audio tour as well as guided tours upon request. My 1st visit didnt have enough time for the audio tour and Im excited to go back to experience it. I was inspired to find some of the plants I saw there to plant in my own yard.

5 /5 Meeca Meeca: had the best afternoon here me and my husband packed a lunch and took our time walking around and best part is it’s free..... yep I said it free guys. Great place for a mental reset. So beautiful and a lot of different sections to explore I would say this is a outdoors photographer dream spot thanks for this beautiful tranquil garden

Raptor Aviary @ The Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium - Fort Myers

Mandilynne: The staff is all very informative and friendly. The aviary was filled with eagles, hawks, and more. I highly recommend taking the trail through the woods, it was well-maintained. There are so many critters, birds, and reptiles to see!

Edison & Ford Winter Estates - Fort Myers

Wyatt Woolsey: The history behind these two individuals is amazing. I visited here with my mom about 35 years ago, when I was just a kid and from what I remember then it was still really amazing. This time around, as an adult, it was a totally different experience as I was able to really comprehend just what these individuals were able to create and the bi d that they had between them. Its mind blowing to see just what Edison had his hands in and where alot of what we know today got its start. It was unfortunate that they were doing massive renovations when we came through this time, as there were some areas my wife and I didnt get to see, but that is more than understandable and it is amazing to know that renovations are being carried out at such an amazing part of American history. My wife loved it and it was awesome being back for the history and fir the nostalgia. I would definitely recommend anyone that is visiting the area to go spend some time here.

Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve - Fort Myers

Marc Meier: A really nice nature trail that is very inexpensive! You only have to pay for parking which is roughly 1$ per hour. Then you can take the 1.5 mile wooden trail through the woods. There you can see a lot of exciting wildlife like birds, squirrels, turtles and much more. Along the trail are nicely positioned outposts where you can either have a view of a lake or a wildlife hanging spot. There is a free restroom to use and most of the time there is a guide at the entrance to help you with any questions you might have. All in all a very exciting trail that you should definitely check out.

Manatee Park - Fort Myers

Sara Gilbert: Beautiful space to walk and learn about wild life, explore and learn from locals! Gift shop was cute! Easy and low cost parking ($2 an hour via parking meter), bathrooms were accessible. It was very clear on website there were no recent manatee sightings due to the time of year and weather so it was confusing why some families were so disappointed about not seeing any. This is a wildlife park and there are no captive animals here, that doesnt take away from the natural beauty and also spotting tiny lizards, butterflies and enjoying the water! Many benches and picnic tables available!

Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium - Fort Myers

Robert McClellan: If you have a rainy weekend and are looking for something to do, the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium is an inexpensive and enjoyable visit where the kids might even learn a little something. The newly renovated Planetarium has super comfortable seating and the new projection system is truly remarkable. In between Planetarium shows they offer animal experience shows where the kids can get up close and personal with anything from a turtle, snake, or even a baby gator. The rustic trails are short but can provide some quiet time in between programs. Pretty easy to spend the day.. they dont offer any food, but there is a large covered area with plenty of tables for sack lunches or snack time. Always enjoyable.

Railroad Museum of South Florida - Fort Myers

Everton Vidal Azevedo: Great place for train enthusiasts and history lovers. Small but well-maintained, with interesting exhibits and train rides for both kids and adults. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Train rides for adults and children over 6 years old cost $5. Perfect for a family visit. Definitely worth checking out!

Lorrie Kola: Centennial Park in Fort Myers is a great spot for families!!! The views are absolutely beautiful, and the park is very well maintained. My boys had a blast playing in the nice play area. The cleanliness of the park really stood out, making it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy. I highly recommend visiting this park if you’re in the area!
