5 /5 Sean and Laura Cavanaugh: Seeing a Cardiologist is terrifying. Dont kid yourself. But Dr. Metzger isnt just well trained and dedicated- hes also a mellow regular guy. Id say talking through my health concerns with him lowered my blood pressure more than amlodipine ever did. We made a short and long term plan for my cardiovascular health and I am very confident in Dr. Metzger.

1 /5 Boomba M: Based on another website, Metzger had 5 star reviews across the board which had me feeling really positive about seeing him for initial cardiac work up. Positive: Office wait was surprisingly short and initial intake with nurse was comfortable and she was kind. Met with Dr. M and shared concerns, they did quick EKG and recommended I get outfitted for heart rate monitor for 1 week, get Calcium score and send over labwork for review. Prior to leaving I was told someone would call me to come back in for heart rate monitor. Negative: Initial appointment was 2 weeks ago - no one has called to set up appointment to get heart rate monitor. I left 2 messages prior (no call back). Per their request, I emailed labwork to Dr./Nurse and asked them to confirm receipt - no reply. Called and asked for them to please confirm labwork was received - no reply. Needless to say, I will not be going back as there is lack of appropriate follow up which sends the message that patient care and follow up is not a priority. I can only imagine for those who have major cardiac issue....I would hope their experience is not the same as mine.

5 /5 Barbara: The staff was professional and efficient. I was brought to a room within minutes of my arrival where my vitals were taken. It was my first visit and Dr. Metzger made me immediately feel comfortable. Thank you all.

I’m so grateful for her excellent care and all the time she takes to answer me on Baycare’s online patient portal. She is easy to get in touch with and takes her time to explain/diagnose. I would definitely recommend her to a family member or friend. The office is easy to locate and has a lot of room for patients to space out in the waiting room.

Saint Petersburg General - St. Petersburg Al Gurney: A sea of smiles worn by a most professional staff.I Have been to most of the hospitals around. So, take my word for it, the menu has many nice options for the most picky eater. Your schedule for tests,etc, is really close to reality. They dont wake you up every ten minutes to ask if you are asleep. If you want, or need, something reasonable, they really try to help. Not that I want to go to the hospital ever again, but SPG will be my destination of choice. Definitely 5 moos.

BayCare Medical Group - St. Petersburg Linda OConnor: My doctor is here and is outstanding. Unfortunately the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. Youd better have top-tier insurance if you want to come here because all they seem to care about is the money. I have twice attempted to schedule an appointment here and someone in their office continues to call me and tell me that I shouldnt come here because they dont take my plan and she doesnt say that Im allowed to pay out of pocket even though I was told by someone else in the office that I can. Its disgusting that you cant even see your doctor because someone in the office arbitrarily decides to manipulate your appointment because you dont have a preferred insurance. Sad State of affairs. They dont even want money, only insurance. Imagine that.
