2 /5 joan hong: Came into the shop on a Friday afternoon to see what was wrong with my car. Im not from the area and let them know I would really appreciate their help ASAP as I had to drive to Jacksonville to get back to work. People there were nice and let me know that they would try to see what was up and fix up my car by Monday end of day as they were closed during the weekend. They let me know that the biggest issue involved the oil pump harness in the engine, which is why the engine light was on. Monday comes around and there were no updates on the part that was supposed to come in until an hour and a half before close and was told the car wouldnt be fixed until Tuesday with minimal apology. Couldnt do anything about that so came in the next morning, paid $2300 and 30 miles later the engine light came back on. By this time I was on the way to Jacksonville already as I had missed work. Gave the garage a call to let them know - they said theyd text me with potential garages in Jacksonville to take a look. Nothing was communicated to me, not even a "couldnt find anyone" and I had to get it looked at again elsewhere to finally get my car fixed. I trusted this shop very much initially but the other auto shop asked me why it was so much money, especially for the engine light to come back on so quickly and I couldnt answer. Not all of this was on the auto shop, but I do feel baffled in the sense of this assurance of the timeline they gave me just for them to not communicate that it wouldnt be feasible until almost close on Monday, the cost of the service especially for how quickly the light came back on, and the lack of follow through. I dont think theyre terrible and they did help me out that Friday afternoon, but all in all, I left that experience with as much anxiety as I had going in.
