5 /5 Jay Martin: Super cool tour! Very relaxing boat ride with lots of nature sightings: manatees, dolphins!, different birds and more. Very impressive technology with screens at every seat and an ROV underwater drone which allowed us to see under the water in high definition. Our tour guide Sam was very knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining!

5 /5 Tara Moreno: This eco pontoon tour was a real treat for my high schooler and me! Our tour guide Sam was the real deal — very knowledgeable but also explained all the science really well and patiently answered our questions. The underwater drone was so cute! And we felt lucky to see dolphins and a great variety of birds in their natural habitat. I was also impressed with the quality of the exhibits in the discovery center, and it was small enough to go through quickly. We did the pontoon tour then sandwiches and then the discovery center, but other passengers from our pontoon tour were in and out of the discovery center before we had finished our sandwiches.

5 /5 Chris Paul: Had a great time today on the boat tour. Sam was a great tour guide! Highly recommend doing this if you’re in Fort Pierce, Vero Beach or surrounding towns. Definitely worth it!

5 /5 Katie Lydon: Fantastic pontoon tour of lagoon at FAU led by informative graduate Sam. Highly recommend it! We saw dolphin, baby manatee and sea birds and learned interesting facts about the lagoon. Also learned about left and right hand conch shells origin of “spoil” islands. Only $40 for 90 minute tour.

Frederick Douglass Memorial Park - Fort Pierce Sadie Chelsea: Beautiful little quiet park. We came here for horseback riding on the beach. But if youre just going to the park, there are tables for sitting and relaxing and eating. There is beach entrance access. The area was nice and clean. Bring your bug spray though! A lot of mosquitos and noseeums.

Avalon State Park - Fort Pierce Tim Blackwell: Nice facility with beach access, pavilions and restroom facilities. Ingress and egress from the highway is good. I was suprised at the number, sizes and varieties of lizard-type species were visible.

Vitolo Family Preserve North - Fort Pierce Zach Szablewski: This is an great restoration area. There is a trail that follows Indian River with several boardwalks. There are several docks into the mangroves.

Citrus Hammock Preserve - Fort Pierce Robin Standlee: A nice quiet walk- saw crows, blue heron, pileated woodpecker, flowers and an armadillo and heard sand hill cranes. Only saw 2 other people there and they had the same experience of frustration from lack of markings on the trail. It had been dry so I was hoping to not have to navigate muddy areas. Not so. It doesn’t seem like it would take a whole lot to address those areas with wood bridges. Because of the lack of signage, I found myself walking on a sidewalk next to the road on the way back to the parking lot. Not bad, but not a preference. I’ll go back, wear some hiking boots and try a different path. If you don’t have a FL state park pass, there is a $3 fee, honor system.

Richard E. Becker Preserve - Fort Pierce Brenny Denny: Richard E. Becker Preserve is 13 acre park with a half mile hiking trail along Ten Mile creek. They also have campsite and kayak options. Neat little place tucked out of the way.

Vitolo Family Preserve South - Fort Pierce Anabel Gamino: Spent a great day here with the family! Great fishing, crabbing and walking trails. We sat on the rocks and watched a family of Manatee in the Indian River!!

Summer Crush Vineyard & Winery - Fort Pierce Peggy Wark: Our first time here. Stayed two nights as harvest host members. Cant wait to come back for yearly trip to the area. Everyone who works here is very nice. Clean and immaculate. Loved the tuxedo cat who greeted me each time I went by store. Birds were awesome too
