04-2025 Florida Department of Health in Union County - New River Community Health Care Center in Best 11 MEDICAL SERVICES near Lake Butler, FLUnion County Public Health Department - Lake Butler Valerie Nelson: Well I checked in for my appt at 9:00am I had to wait 40 minutes before they called me back. Once I was placed in the room I had to wait another 10 minutes and I feel what I went for should of took no more that 10-15 minutes. Village Doctors - Lake Butler MITZI NAPIER: Gloria and her staff have been amazing- working me in when Ive arrived on the wrong date, getting my prescriptions sent over to the pharmacy quickly, very professional and friendly, very thorough in their work up, and their MA does a very good job drawing your labs. I cant say Ive ever had a bad experience with this office. Only good things to say!!! Halifax Health - Daytona Beach Elizabeth Henslee: The security guard at the front is extremely rude and it is unfortunate she is the first person you encounter. The front desk seems to be inept. No wheelchairs are offered regardless of condition, and simple things like hand sanitizer and masks are missing from the front desk. You do get seen quickly. Communication is lacking, and I do not recommend unless coming for a broken arm or something that does not require much time or diagnostic. Go to Orlando if you can. Halifax Health Medical Center - Daytona Beach An’Drenaye: I WISH I COULD GIVE this a ZEROOOOO RATING. This Halifax is very unprofessional and rude, this was my second time coming here just to still not be seen. Sat in the room for 3 hrs with an iv in my arm and no tests taken. The receptionist were also laughing at someone who seemed to be mentally challenged and that is very unacceptable as they are supposed to be people who care for us. They were also on their phones, giggling, and when I asked how long it would be they said in a stern nonchalant way “the rooms are full, sit down and wait”. Is this what a hospital is about? That 7-11 shift needs to be replaced immediately. The ratings will continue to deteriorate due to staff and efficiency! Halifax Health | UF Health - Medical Center of Deltona - Deltona monica boas: If I could leave 0 I would this place is awful there is no communication professionally with most of the staff only personal and they put their personal lives first no one is doing their jobs Ive had two tests done that I didnt even know I was getting with no results in 24 hours with our being able to eat there are literally three staff members standing at the nurses station as I write this and my call button has been flashing for 15 mins. Being admitted from the ER for over night we have been placed in what I can best describe as cubicles with a shower curtain door. They have missed my antibiotics on 4 different occasions and Ive only been here 2 days. Family Health Source - Daytona - Daytona Beach AnTonia DeAnna chandler: I had an appointment on December 30th for Lab Work. Im "in house" so they told me I couldnt go to Labcorp and I had to have my blood drawn at the Daytona office. So I got my blood drawn by Janice on December 30th 2024. They were supposed to check my Thyroid and other routine blood work. I went in today January 7th 2025 for my follow up appointment to discuss my blood results. It was then that I was made aware that they lost my blood work for my Thyroid test. Janice didnt even remember me coming in on December 30th for my labs. I understand this office is busy so I will overlook that part but to lose someones blood work is another level of incompetence beyond comprehension. If this office can lose someones blood work so easily then it wouldnt be that unbelievable that they might accidentally mix up someones labs in the future. Which sounds like a lawsuit in the making, something upper management might want to think about. This is exactly why I wanted to go to labcorp and why I will request to do so in the future. Then Dr. Dyer said since they lost my blood work I could have it retaken today. Why would I have the same people retake my blood work after they already lost it? I cant keep having blood work done every week because they "misplace it". Its very scary to have your health be in the hands of underskilled medical employees. I dont see this ever happening at any other doctors office. I read my portal today after my appointment and it said I have "white coat syndrome" thats why my blood pressure was high. Wouldnt your blood pressure be high if you knew that your health was not being taken seriously? It certainly would make anyone upset. Also, it said I declined having my blood drawn today. What Dr. Dyer failed to mention is that the reason I declined the blood work was because they LOST my previous labs. Also, my portal said I have a Vitamin A deficiency. I wasnt even checked for vitamin A? If this office wants to continue to offer services like blood work then it needs to be more professional and organized. AdventHealth Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach John Sassano: I’m a Surgeon, Anesthesiologist and trained critical care physician for over 40 years.
I came to this hospital about 12:30 pm and was taken to the cardiac floor by around 3pm. The medical director introduced himself to me and asked me to photograph his ID badge so that I would remember his name. On the floor multiple blood samples were taken and multiple EKGs were taken. No one told me what the results of any of these were. When I asked, I was told that I could get it off the iPad that was never supplied to me, when I got on the floor. I am in a room that has a light switch that I cannot reach and the room has no bathroom in it. The hospital is filthy, disorganized, and definitely Third World. When I asked to speak to the nursing supervisor, I asked for her name and then asked if I could take a picture of her ID, as I had the doctor in the ER and she willingly placed her hospital issued ID on the bed and I took a picture of it. Within 30 minutes two armed officers were up in my room and demanded that I delete the picture from my phone. I hope everyone reads this and comments. I have still not received any of my regular medication’s, including heart medication, blood thinners, and painkillers since I’ve been here which is now 12 hours. What a mistake. Halifax is a far superior hospital. I
