5 /5 Natalie Monroe: Very hot and no shade but awesome to see a piece of history. The fort offered information about the wars, along with people-accurate displays. There were also trails, though we decided it was too hot so we didnt explore there.

5 /5 Michael Walsh: Visited here after spending the most of the day elsewhere on a federal holiday, and found the visitor center closed. The fort itself was open and was a nice and quiet space to walk around and check out. The informational signs were plentiful and in great shape. According to available information, much more is available to participate in at other times during the week or of you have additional time to check out the trail, but not while we were there.

5 /5 William Penterman: Beautifully reconstructed 19th century fort with so much history! As you walk in and around the fort, you can imagine what life must have been like for the soldiers stationed there. This is a great stop for families, and admission is free!

We were enroute to JAX airport and took a rest area stop off I-75, found this beautiful landmark at mins distance from the gas station and decided to give it a shot. No regrets, beautifully maintained neat and clean fort with notes from the past engraved on placards as a reference to the history.

Brick City Adventure Park - Ocala Sophie Millo: The playground is decent. There are swings and slides, climbing structures, and a cool spin thing. Its not very big but its good enough. There is also a track, basketball hoops, and a football field. The only negative is the park is open (it is not enclosed by a gate or fence) so I saw many kids running into the parking lot while playing. Would visit again.

Discovery Center - Ocala Eunice Longworth: So many wonderful activities, was a very nice experience for my 9 year old grandson. The staff are very patient. It allowed ample time for questions and exploration for all who attended. The facility was neat and clean and pretty well maintained.

Ocala Nature Park - Ocala Mabel Caniz: Not to far from Miami very nice country life and beautiful nature

Tuscawilla Park - Ocala LittleLocal Guide: This is a fantastic place for kids and families. It features a scenic walking trail, a beautiful pond, and is perfect for walking your dog or enjoying a stroll. The park also includes a tennis court, basketball court, and a baseball field. Around the park, there’s a Discovery Center that offers even more to explore. It’s a great spot to visit with plenty of activities for everyone.

Marion County Museum of History and Archaeology - Ocala US 1: Museum on the smaller side but packed with local history. Staff is amazing-friendly and a wealth of knowledge. This has been on the bucket list for awhile and I’m glad I finally made it. A must stop for history lovers.

Scott Springs Park - Ocala Cheri G.: Great park! Pet friendly- on a leash. Small board walk to the sink hole/spring. Very cool to see.

Appleton Museum of Art - Ocala Tatiana Vachon: We loved our visit to the museum today. It was our first time and it happened to be free. We did a donation and would have been okay with paying the regular price of $10. They have very nice collections and exhibits. We loved the American, African, Asian and European pieces. Really outstanding. Thank you for creating and maintaining this beautiful museum. We would love to visit again soon.

The Canyons Zip Line and Adventure Park - Ocala Tracy w: Ireland, Megan and Ash were great guides. Latte is a sweet horse that gently goes through the trail. It was a great time and a very beautiful place. I took my own photos and bought the photo package they did of my group. I had an awesome time. Thank you for the great experience.

Jervey Gantt Park - Ocala Sonya Bx3: Beautiful paved, winding, walking paths surrounded by nature. Safe. Away from noisy roads. Convenient parking. Bathrooms and water fountains. Many pleasant people walking and running on trails but not crowded. My favorite place to easily walk 3 miles or more.
