  • Paw Park of Historic Sanford - Sanford John Yohan: I have previously left a very lengthy posting on this site regarding Paw park of historic Sanford. I am not sure what happened to it I havent seen it in quite a while but here is a quick breakdown once again. The park has several areas where you can take different sized dogs and has a lot of agility toys that dogs can run a jump or play through. All in all the park is small but very nice plenty of watering spots for the dogs and bags for pickups. 2 downsides number one there is no latrine for the Fur babys parents and and the other 1 is the side of town thats on everybody that knows Sanford knows 2nd to 5th street can be kind of rough.. On this particular visit we met some friends in the evening and the place was way too dark all that it had was a few street lights And that was not nearly enough lighting for the dog park let alone in area that has problems with crime.. Once again this is John Yohan with your commentary and perhaps insight. I hope this helps you out and 0lease try to have a safe and great day!!!
Sanford, FL - Sanford MR Ravi: Nice river front view. Great place to jog, ride a bike and enjoy the Veterans Memorial. I had a fantastic time even though the ducks tried to steal my chips. Wonderful place to just relax by the water.
Jeanine Taylor Folk Art - Sanford Sketchy Pam: I did a Google maps search for art when I was in the Sanford area and this popped up. Everything about this gallery was really good. Really great art, super fabulous French bulldog, artist studios to investigate, and a knowledgeable and approachable gallery owner. The work she had displayed in her gallery was contemporary and gorgeous. The front area has pieces for purchase such as ceramics, soft sculptures, jewelry, little found object assemblage sculptures, and fabulous quirky paintings. Check out the vend O-Matic art machine - so cool.
Marina Island, Sanford - Sanford Jeremiah Ijeh: Perfect place to sit in nature, chat, relax, run or just watch the sunset either alone, with family or with a significant other. It is a calm and cool location.
NAS Sanford Memorial - Sanford TJ Waller Photography: Very cool place. A historically-rich park next to the cell phone lot that offers personal reflection and really cool photo opportunities. No bathroom or picnic areas.
    SANFORD BAY - Sanford
Bookertown Park - Sanford Daniel Desantis: Its been reconstructed and has new basketball courts and water fountain and is main tanned
St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum - St. Augustine Karen Krajenbrink: This place was a historic treat. A well maintained lighthouse and adjacent buildings that offer cool AC and lots of history. My favorite was the shipwreck conservation lab, where you can see various pieces being restored. The lighthouse isnt a difficult climb. For the sake of safety, dont pass people, wait at the landing and give right of way to people descending, as lighthouse wobbles can give people coming down a bit of vertigo. Views from the top are spectacular. Dont miss the Tin Pickle! Great cheap food that benefits a fantastic piece of history.
Lightner Museum - St. Augustine Angela Bridges: I am so glad we decided to do the Lightner museum while we were in St augustine. The history of the building along with the artifacts and unique art pieces were well worth our time. We spent about 2 hours and I definitely would like to return again the variety of pieces is remarkable!!
Ponce de Leons Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park - St. Augustine astrida mcfarland: We took a trolley tour to get here and got to enjoy the beautiful trees with Spanish Moss hanging from the branches as we entered the Historic Fountain of Youth park. You can buy your tickets at the entrance and either take the guided tour or do a self-tour with the map they give you. We did the self tour and were there for about 3 hours in order to see everything. I watched as my daughter climbed up to the top of the water tower to see the beautiful views and photo ops. We also checked out the Fountain of Youth and drank from it. However, we have not become younger looking. Oh well. We also watched the cannon shooting demonstrations. The tour was worth going on. Tickets were $23 per adult. The gift shop was great with all kinds of cool items about Ponce de Leon and the Fountain of Youth. I loved the Southern BBQ restaurant on premises. Delicious BBQ sandwiches and more. You gotta try it! There is a large parking lot for free parking.
