Skaggs Megan: I have been a patient at Palms Medical/Dental Group for many years now. As well as my parents, siblings and young son. I have always recommended your services to those in need. I had a dental appointment scheduled yesterday to have a tooth extracted and I was called about 1.5 hrs prior, to be rescheduled due to the office being under staffed. So today, I went in for my rescheduled appointment and I was given numbing jelly and injections. I’ve always been very nervous at the dentist so I was starting to tear up but was relieved in knowing my tooth would finally be coming out today. This abscess tooth has led to an open sinus cavity causing a sinus infection. When the dentist, Dr. Stanley Jones, came in to get started I was feeling pain, he then gave me a little bit more of numbing meds and I could tell he was annoyed by me needing more numbing meds. I felt like a burden at this point and like he wanted to rush and finish with me. When he returned again, he used a larger tool and began twisting and pulling on the tooth to remove it and I was in tremendous pain, he had earlier told me to raise my hand if I felt any pain aside from pressure, so with my hand raised he continued to tug on my tooth until I said stop. He very frustratedly, said ‘you’re going to an oral surgery then! I can’t give you anymore medicine!’ And proceeded to walk out of the room. I was very appalled and shocked at his bedside manners and the way I was treated today. Upon checkout today, the receptionist asked me to give you guys another try because ‘you are better than that.’ I believe it! I have witnessed it. But, today really has me questioning my further dental needs with Palms Dentistry, I have been left with pain in my head, jaw and ear. There is separation between my tooth and gum from his attempt to remove my tooth. It seems as though the people working under this dentist are used to his treatment as I told the dental assistant I felt bad for her she said she understood how I felt. I do not leave bad reviews or complain, but this cannot happen to another patient.
