Green Gables - Melbourne (FL)

3 /5 Kat: I enjoyed the tour, but it was long (1 1/2 hours) and hot. Theres no air conditioning and almost no cross ventilation- especially upstairs. They do have fans running in one of the downstairs rooms. I would enjoy coming back to this winter home again but during the winter months. The house needs a lot of work, and I hope to see it one day restored to its former glory.

5 /5 lukesrockvixen: Great historic home and staff. They are working very hard to restore Green Gables to her grandeur. We really loved the tour! Marion was our tour guide and she did a great job teaching us about the property and answered all our questions. We highly recommend a visit!

5 /5 diane Holt: Very interesting historic home in the process of being g restored.. our guide Anne was very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. Restoration is a costly and lengthly process so hope to return in the future to see the progress.

5 /5 Melissa Williams: We decided to check out the historic Green Gables Halloween trail at Foggy Bluff. It was very short but everyone involved did a great job. They didn’t chase us or make it too scary considering we had 3 kids with us all around age 10-11. They took a lot of time and care setting up this event outside due to permit people not letting them have the event indoors. The moon was shining bright over the river as the trail ended. Couldn’t resist snapping these pictures.
