5 /5 L BL: Handley Park is a lovely spot! Its never overcrowded, which is a huge plus. The playground equipment is in good condition, and there are plenty of swings for all ages. I appreciate the open grassy area for kids to run around, and there are ample benches and even a couple of picnic tables. The water fountains are a nice touch, and I found some shaded areas for those hot Florida days. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable park for families.

5 /5 Renaité Di Pietro: Great playground with plenty of benches and shade. Big slides, lots of swings. Probably better for ages 3 and up. No bathrooms. Picnic tables and trash cans available. Bring a towel to dry things off if there was a little Florida rain.

4 /5 Shannon Pierce: No bathrooms! This park would be our favorite if it had bathrooms :-) I love this little neighborhood park! New refurbished play sets, slides, swings and other syllables and play things. Three picnic tables toward the front spread out and chained. Along with a few benches scattered throughout the park and a big grassy space. A little bit of shade and a little bit of sun. Never crowded! And even though there are posted times, there is no real enforcement so if you’re running a little late and you want to play in the park as the sunsets, this is the one to come to :-) The park is fenced, but please be aware there is one entrance coming off the busy Edgewood road and two entrances that come off the neighborhood street (Phyllis). Drinking fountain also has a dog fountain :-)

5 /5 Diana Raburn: Very nice, quiet, and calm park to go to. It is a little bit further east of Common Ground park, on Edgewood. Has a nice, smaller, open field area, next to the play area, that is relatively all fenced in. You will still want to monitor your children (as always), but still offers some peace of mind. Highly recommend! (Hopefully it stays maintained and kept up with - every visitor plays a part with this.) ♡

5 /5 Cherlie Isme-Adeka: Small, quiet, clean & not busy. My kids had fun and they are one and two. Suitable for older kids I would say but littles can still enjoy some things.

Hank Bryan Park - Palatka L Cardinal: This is a beautiful park. I love all the shade trees and the concrete walking path. There are numerous exercise equipment stations throughout the park. I also appreciate the fenced area with swings and climbing playground with slides. Children are so unpredictable and the fenced barrier is nice to keep them safe while at play.

Arcadia Mill - Milton Ryan Beverly: Nestled at the end of a neighborhood, sits an entrance to a boardwalk to one of Floridas oldest mill sites. As soon as you wal up to the entrance to the left is a covered area that has some remnants of said mill so you get an idea of what was there. From there you can take a boardwalk stroll that leads to some ground trails which are pretty neat. Cool little place to stroll if youre in the area or are a history buff. Really enjoyed the stroll

West Florida Railroad Museum - Milton L D: We have a train enthusiast in the family and this train museum didnt disappoint. As the parent of this train enthusiast I didnt so much enjoy the trains but the lovely history preserved here. I also enjoyed the folks manning the stations- their greetings were warm, their train knowledge unmatched, and their passion palpable. If youre in the area- definitely recommend.

Blackwater Heritage Trail State Park - Milton Paul: Great trail with visitors center and clean restrooms. Quite a few small road crossings but all safe.

Riverwalk South, Milton, FL. - Robert Olson: Milton has invested a lot to create something worth visiting. They have expanded it over the years, and it now has become something worth visiting on its own. It is a popular place for programs.

Carpenters Park - Milton michelle: Does the job wares my child out and they have very clean bathrooms considering its a park, compared to any other local park. The splash pad wasnt up but we turned the faucet on and it shot out across the grass, it was just as fun.

Zip Adventures - Milton Travis Reno: Tyler and Kat were amazing guides. They were friendly, talkative, ensured our safety, and made sure we understood what to do. They made the experience 100% better. The course was just the right length for a first timer like me and a different tour form past trips taken for my partner, who found it just as enjoyable as I did. We look forward to visiting again and hopefully camping and tubing, too

Optimist Park - Milton Jamie: Great place to take your kids to play. They have a fun playground and you can even bring your fur babies to play in their own fenced in play area. Big dogs have a separate area from the little dogs to help with accidents. It is nice to be able to go inside a gate and close it before opening whichever side is appropriate for your dog. They also have a soccer field and ball field. The only improvements I can think of is a water fountain and a larger parking lot. I would recommend!

Garcon Point Water Management Area - Milton Ruby Lewis: Many areas of the trail are only as wide as a dirt bike, the trail is not difficult but appears more like a path in most areas than an actual trail. One area was extremely swampy. As temperatures rise plan for bugs and snakes. On positive notes; incredible scenery, numerous hawks and waterfowl around. Parking is easily accessible.

Whiting Park - Milton Jon Hofius: Although exclusive to service members, Whiting park is a GEM worth rediscovering. With enough outdoor amenities to keep the whole family entertained, even Fido can dip their paws into the Blackwater river and cool down too! MWR does a nice job providing these places and hopefully our families will take full advantage…also, very easy access on weekdays too.
