Jones Swamp Wetland Preserve & Nature Trail - Pensacola (FL)

4 /5 POST BMT: Nice boardwalk going One direction and the other direction its just a trail. Theres a little creek alongside the trail and the boardwalk. Not much signs of wildlife. The only signs of life I saw was a homeless camp. And apparently people have been dumping stuff here- maybe its been cleaned up a little bit but still see remnants.

5 /5 Perdido River fungal research Center: Very enjoyable, the wetland has changed dramatically in the past 30 years and not in a good way. I hope this brings more attention to an already stressed ecosystem, there are some beautiful flora and fauna, even the occasional black bear.

4 /5 Dashira Alvarez: Short trail by the swamp completed on about 20 minutes. I walked behind Warrington PSC campus in a circle. There was another extension that takes you to a second parking lot, that I did not walked. Still was nice to connect with nature.

3 /5 Aaron: The trail itself is fairly nice; definitely a decent spot for viewing wildlife. Unfortunately you may encounter lots of trash and graffitti in certain spots, and that is normal for trails like this that arent state/federally managed. As many other reviewers have said (and this is common knowledge for Pensacola locals), it is in a "sketchy" area and I would not be comfortable holding expensive belongings out in plain view while walking by other people. I only visited once and may not visit again.

2 /5 Christopher Barry: Could be great but the trail is in a sketchy area. The boardwalk and bridges are new/under-construction but they are spray painted and there is trash strewn about. Such a shame that it is in the state it is but this place is a victim of its location.
