4 /5 Jo Ann Rarick: I had my first visit to establish as a new patient last July. I confess, my facetime with Dr. Kolmetz was minimal and I was a bit disappointed. Its a healthcare model Ive encountered before where your time is primarily with PAs. I thought as a new patient there might be more time with the doctor. Not so on that day. Now that Im in my 60s I questioned if this might not be a good fit for me. This is what has changed my mind - his staff. Thats not a criticism of Dr. Kolmetz. If I had a health issue, my experience with him might have looked very different. Perhaps it was a very busy day and he was trying to be respectfuly his his waiting patients time. I will learn more as I become more established with him. What I can address is a wonderful experience with his staff. There were two prescription issues that didnt transpire smoothly over this last year. On BOTH occasions his front end administrative staff took care of the problem with a level of patience and understanding that was second to none. These are some of the busiest people in an office and they oversee patients for several doctors at Mainstreet Medical. With people like Karla and the great receptionist who helped me last December (whose name I regret I cant recall), I gladly call Mainstreet Medical my healthcare home. And my experiences with Dr. Kolmetz will only grow, Im sure. It seems to be the pattern with aging.
